If you haven't already heard of it: A webcomic/manga/cartoon about personified countries that usually takes place during WW2 + the Middle Ages, but jumps around the timeline a lot. The characters have personalities based on a mix of national stereotypes+historical tendencies+the author's friends+moe archtypes. Unlike Afghanis-tan, most of the characters are male, the focus is more on international relations, and most major war-time events from the 20th century are avoided.

I actually decided to give this a shot, despite how weird it sounds, and I actually find it really enjoyable. I'm not super fond of the moe-style it chose, but I love how it plays off so many international stereotypes. Overall, pretty enjoyable.

Annnyway, Hetalia is one of the weirdest/lol things I've seen. I love it.

I like how everything is on total crack in this series, honestly. I love how the characters are portrayed and the historical background, in any way or form, is pleasant to a history nerd like me. AND THE EPISODES ARE ONLY 5 MINUTES LONG.
I'm not addicted to it yet, but I love it.

I always personified countries as people in World History classes to help remember things and I always hoped they would some day make something like that.
