You are a stronger man than I, I got to 3.

Though I still like Haruhi so... Whatever.

Also K-ON has a much smaller budget than Clannad, and Clannad actually used it well.

I got to 11 episodes of LS. It was funny at first, but now it's starting to get pretty bland.

Aw and I liked Lucky Star and Haruhi but I think a part of the love is because both had stellar dubs.

As for me watching all of DBGT (WHY?! >_<) and getting less then halfway through Tenjo Tenge before realizing it was total crap, Air Gear is infinitely better.

I watched 5 episodes of Tenjo Tenge and absolutely hated the direction the whole thing was going.

No major rages I can remember (I watched a few episodes of Chobits out of complete utter boredom, but that was masochistic, not rageful), but the very ending of 20th Century Boys was a minor rage event.

The author leaves one mystery hanging at the end of the series, and all in all it's well done enough that he could have left it hanging anyway, though it more or less would have ended without a proper conclusion. The series usually does a great job of taking minor characters from the past and making them into notable characters in the present/future. It does that about three times (Maybe just twice, don't quite remember) and it never feels like an ass pull. But then the author makes a final volume called 21st Century Boys which more or less closes up everything... and the guy who replaced the villain after his actual, verified death turns out to be just... some... kid. A character we barely saw. Both villains were awesome. In fact, the second Friend was slightly more scary because, not having the same pointless obsession as the original Friend, didn't care so much about sticking exactly to the plan. The original Friend's identity was well explained and actually fairly clever, while the final villain... was just this guy. He was a childhood friend of the main characters and the villain, so it's not illogical that it would be him. It's just kind of dropped there unexpectedly, with no explanation. The final panel was pretty much the one that revealed his identity.

So yeah, still an awesome series, but the very very ending of it was just... kind of pointless.

Basically, to sum up the reaction to the end of the series:

"Who...?"

Well, more like: "Oh, that guy. Forgot about him. Cool. But, uh, why?"

Saying only action-based animes deserve high budgets because they want to make action scenes look cool is like saying only action movies deserve high budgets because they want to make action scenes cool.

Where would we be if Pan's Labyrinth had a small budget?

I just used action oriented stuff as an example. I'm just saying, slice of life can get away with smaller budgets because they have less elaborate things to animate, yet action oriented or other types of anime tend to need to have good action sequences to be...y'know, action packed.

I could directly quote the entire post of mine that you responded to and it would still work here.

Screw it, I have no reason to keep arguing. I have my opinion, and thats all I'll say.

The manga is some what decent from what I read because the villains and powers are so ridiculous you can't take anything seriously.

Also Bob its just to bad the best character becomes The Black Chad.

I always love the friend/sidekick main characters better than anyone else and they always get ****ed.

I was sort of okay with Bob honestly, but I just got kinda irked when his girlfriend presented some..."unique" tendencies around the token boob chick (the one who can predict the future or something and uses really long katanas...while still in uniform). Then there was that blond guy that Bob always followed around. I hated his guts, but when I learned that he was going to be the main hero beyond episode 5, I just said eff to that.

Before I forget, Elfen Leid. God that anime was boring to the point of rage.
