This show is rather pointless, I don't really like it. It never really produces any amazing talent.
George Sampson, 14 year old street dancer is awful. It's about as good as the X Factor and American Idol.

the entire point of these shows is to laugh heartily at the people in the auditions and then stop watching as soon as the auditions end.

Obviously they put through some of the terrible acts to the judges so viewers are drawn into the show more because everyone knows people just looooveeeee to laugh at the embarassment of other people, but naturally the show is to find talent for the Royal Variety Show and to gain money from the bus load of votes during the live show rounds.
The show isn't made to make us laugh, it's made to draw us with with the series of terrible acts with the odd draw dropper so we just keep watching till the very end.

She does have an astonishing singing voice. The looks on the face and audience after they heard her singing was priceless.

Her voice is good, but taken on its own merits, it's not really that amazing. By comparison:

Paul Potts is considerably uglier and has a much better voice.

Yeah, I think her popularity is largely because of her appearance, but I think even in and of itself, it's a fantastic singing voice. Paul Potts's voice is very good as well.
