In an attempt to give the internet a rest from cat related entertainment some website I've never heard of called Urlesque has placed a ban on all cat related images, videos, jokes, and anything else you can think to cram a LOLcat into for today.

Apparently this was important enough for a story on Time.com.

So what's your opinion? Should we give the cat a rest? Does such a small gesture really matter in the big scheme of the cat infested internet? Is this thread going to be nothing but replies containing cat images and videos?

You decide.

Urlesque seems to have replaced cats with bunnies. Nothing of value has been gained or lost.

The secretive fish is right, I declare the attempt a wash.

Still though, imagine they hadn't mangled the idea.

Seriously, theres no internet meme or image macro I hate more then lolcats or anything related to them.
