Album of the Week #31? (I don't remember)

Is Gary Jules's cover of Mad World (originally by tears for Fears if you were wondering) the best track on this album? Yes. But Mad World is an exceptional track, so everything else still qualifies as excellent music. Homely, simplistic guitar-based folk tunes accompany the Americanized tragedy portrayed through the lyrics. Gary has an obvious statement to make about big-city USA, but the music is emotionally universal.

Seriously guys, any player except itunes.

You can Audacity them, but do you now start to see why itunes is such a terrible, terrible application?

I tried putting them on a disc through WMP, then on itunes, but it didn't work

I tried using Winamp for several months, but I honestly didn't like it. I encountered far more problems with it than iTunes ever gave me, so I went back. It was just simpler for me.

Also the workaround for connecting Winamp to my iPod never worked, so uh

(cue YOU'D LIKE IT IF YOU KNEW HOW TO USE IT RIGHT etc, whatever)

I use iTunes most of the time but have Winamp for all those cases.

iTunes is quite the asshole to me at times, but it ends up doing the job most of the time.

Winamp has awesome skins and is less annoying than iTunes (DO YOU WANT iTUNES TO BE THE DEFAULT APP FOR ALL THOSE FILE EXTENSIONS YOU DON'T WANT iTUNES TO BE THE DEFAULT APP FOR????) but iTunes just seems more convenient.
