Here's the stuff you need to know Very Happy

::Terrycia::

Natalia rolled out of bed. "Still dark out and the moon is still up," she whispered. "Perfect time for training." She got up and put on a pair of her usual clothes, which was unusual due to the freezing temperatures. But they seemed to have no effect on her as she quietly snuck out of her masters house into the cold night. She jogged over to the many little pools of water that had gathered on the outskirts of the city. Various monsters began to swarm around her. "How pathetic! You are all weak to me!" Natalia inhaled quickly, followed by a quick release of breath. She looked over at a puddle nearby, and put her hand out. The ice cold water formed a solid blade, and as she looked at the pack of wolves, it sliced the ground, scattering them. Drawing her sword, she charged at them, a rather large tentacle of water surrounding her blade.

She lashed it out, causing the wolves to yelp in pain. She did not plan on killing them, only to fight until they ran away. But the wolves had other plans, snarling and barking, they all charged at her at once. She tried her best to summon the water to her aid, but for some reason, her power over it was not as strong. "Damn these beasts! I can't focus!" Natalia did not want to admit it, but she was outnumbered. As a wolf jumped at her, she fell backwards. "Ah!" she screamed. If someone did not come to her aid soon, she would be done for. Putting her hands out, she created a shield of water around her. With a quick exhale, it froze, incasing her in a protective ice barrier. "Im not sure how long this will hold up. Maybe coming out here was not such a good idea after all. The beasts seem stronger than usual." She sighed as the wolves jumped into the wall of ice that had surrounded her, causing it to crack little by little. Hopefully someone will notice whats going on and help out...

((YAY~ Now someone please help lol))

"Don't forget to give the rice to Mr.Scheinberg Annie!" Annie's mother yelled from inside the house reminding her of her chores.

"Yes, mom I know. I'll be back a bit later today. I'm going out for a walk because the weather is so nice."

"Alright dear, be back soon."

"Bye mom."

Annie shut the door behind her and walked down the street. As she was walking she had forgotten which house Mr.Scheinberg had lived in. If she had not found out soon she would be carrying a bucket of rice for a while.

"Where did he live again? Wasn't it across the street or something? I can't remember. I'll go ask Mr.Campbell."

Annie then walked up to the house adjacent to her home and ringed the door bell once. After a couple of seconds the door was wide open and an elderly man appeared before her.

"Oh if it isn't Annie, you've grown up so much since the last time I saw you. You were only about this high, how time flies..."

Annie let out a giggle.

"It hasn't been that long, the last time I saw you was 3 days ago Mr.Campbell."

"No need for the formalities, I'm an old age goose already. Just call me Robert. By the way, did you need something from me?"

Robert asked Annie while scratching the back of his ear.

"Robert, do you know where Mr.Scheinberg lives? I have to give this bucket of rice to him."

Robert had pondered for a bit.

"Ahh yes, you mean Michael Scheinberg? He is stopping by here later tonight so you could drop that off here and I'll be sure to hand it over to him."

"Oh, okay. Thank you and sorry for the trouble."

Annie had placed the basket of rice near the door and left Robert's house.

"Stay out of trouble dear."

"Don't worry I will."

Annie had stretched her arms and let out a sigh. She then continued to walk down the cement pathway that had some chalk drawings on it from kids that lived in Norevion. The drawings consisted of a strange male and female stick person holding hands with a heart drawn over it in pink dust.

"I wonder what these kids are up to these days....they are thinking about marriage too early."

Suddenly a weird feeling ran though Annie's head.

"Not again..."

Annie's Acies View which allows her to sense presence around her was the cause of the strange headache. After her Psionic had ended the feeling had also disappeared with it.

"I don't like this feeling I get when someone is close by, most of the times I just try and ignore it but I just can't...but at least it's over for now...I also wonder who that person who made me feel strange earlier, it seems a bit familiar."

Annie started to walk towards the strange presence she had felt and once she thought she was close she had activated her Visor Field to search the surrounding area.

"Oh hey it's Ally! hmmm what's he doing? I can't really see all that well from here. I guess I'll go bug him since it looks like he's alone from here, I'm a bit tired from using Psionics, so I'll just walk for now."

Annie had walked to the outskirts of town and saw huge grassy pastures of many tones of green grass and an ocean blue sky lied before her. She had noticed the figure of Allan's shadow on the grass. From her perspective it would appear that he would be practicing his Psionics. Annie had ran up to Allan and had given him a suprise and attack him with her blades.

~ Siborcor ~

The moon shone brightly on the village of Siborcor, its light falling on a young man who was resting at the side of a village. The pale skin tone of the man seemed to blend with the paleness of the moonlight, making him almost ghost-like under its gaze. His eyes were closed in sleep, and his thin chest rose and fell with his forced breathing. Occasionally, he would take in a large breath with a rasp and cough the air back out. His clothes, while thin, seemed enough to protect him from the chill of the night, though he would shiver every once in a while, though not a shiver of cold. Along with the sound of his breathing, a whimper may have come out of his mouth.

A noise from around the cottage caused him to awaken suddenly. His head shot up, and his green eyes, shot through with a faint red due to the sudden awakening, began to dart back and forth looking for the source of the sound. Unable to discern it from his position, he shifted his gaze up to match that of the moon's. He started again as he realized how brightly the moon was shining on him and how easily he could be seen. His hand involuntarily shot up and came together, giving a soft pat sound as they did. The young man forced them back down onto the ground, then shifted himself crab-style into deeper shadows.

His movements, however, had attracted the notice of something, and that something made its way over to where he was sitting without his noticing before it was too late. When he did notice, he sprang up onto his feet and was prepared to run before he was stopped by a voice crying, "Wait!"

He turned back and found himself staring at a woman hardly older than himself, who was looking at him with curiosity. Suddenly, her eyes widened with realization and she spoke.

"Oh! I remember you now! You're Nuer, aren't you?" she asked him. He nodded hesitantly in response, and she continued.

"What are you doing back here? You can come in if you want. We have plenty of room with my brother heading off to the army," she continued, but the young man had stopped listening and was trying to recall the woman's name. He had been so long in the village, though, and had received so much from the villagers that it was difficult for him to remember any names. He shrugged mentally to himself, then was startled out of reverie when the woman rose her voice.

"Hey! So don't you want to come in?" she asked. Nuer shook his head, never meeting her eyes with his own.

"No, no thank you," he murmured, his voice raspy and hesitating. The woman took a step toward him, and he took one back instinctively.

"Oh, come on! Aren't you cold out here? My parents certainly won't mind you coming in. We all know you," she said, smiling as she made to take his hand. Nuer stepped backwards some more.

"No, I'm fine," he responded, and as he did so, he planted a suggestion in her mind.

Leave me along, but bring some food

The young woman stopped, then drew her hand back. She looked around with mild confusion, then turned and made her way back to the front of the cottage.

"Well, if you insist," she called back to him, "At least accept a meal." He nodded, his eyes wide with fear, looking around at everything but her. He sat down in the shadows where he had been and waited a moment before the woman brought some simple food to him. Neither said anything, and the young woman made her way back inside.

After first poking it a bit, Nuer managed to finish the meal, a welcome event for his near vacant stomach. He placed the plate and glass under the moonlight, and stood up, moving away from the cottage. He stepped out onto a path and walked some distance away, his eyes shooting around at everything, looking back often to make sure he wasn't being followed.

~Norevion~

“They promised. Promises aren’t meant to be broken.” Allan stared upward sighing as he heard the clutter of footsteps downstairs. His foster family was having a little party with a few guests here and there but he didn’t want to be a part of it. Some people still pitied him during that rough time three years ago. He didn’t want to be pitied by any one. He finally knew what he could do to pass the time. It was obvious to him. Rising from his bed, he quickly grabbed his metal bat and strolled downstairs waving a goodbye to his foster family and getting the same in return.

It wasn't the fact that he didn't like his parents. Well foster parents in this case. He cherished them like the parents he once had. The fact that they adopted him gave him an uneasy feeling. They pulled him out of despair and hopelessness and set him on the right track. Whether for the best or the worst, he was saved. He owned him so much that Allan began to doubt that he would ever repay them back for all their generosity. All their kindness. Their love.

The day was quiet. The sun was high above the horizon letting its rays warm the land. People where outside talking and having fun. It seemed like a nice day for people to do what they have always planned. What Allan had planned strayed away from Norevion and towards the fields nearby. The path towards the plains weren't concealed nor ignored. He had gone there several times with his family for some outings and the occasional picnic with several other neighbors. It was relaxing to be in that field since he didn't have to think about much other than how endless the sea of grass was or how the sky was so blue or even why the formation of the odd stones gathered in a circle deep in the plains were formed. Anything to distract him from his dreams would be a success for Allan.

“This seems good enough.” Allan was surrounded by stationary boulders placed in a circle. The fields were always quiet on days like today, only hearing the wind rustle the ferns and flowers scattered everywhere. Allan sat against one of the largest boulders in his area. His bat rolled out of his grip and into the grass. It was about this time he had heard the news about his parents perishing in that ambush. He could never sleep on that day since, when he would, nightmares would haunt him. "There's...little point dwelling on it. I made a promise to myself. A promise to look ahead..." Rising up he stared at endless blue sky over the horizon.

"I guess...everything happens for a reason." He gripped his bat tightly and swung in a 360 degree circle with the 180 degrees in front of him spouting several large icicles. The metal bat was frosty from it as Allan watched the jagged spears of ice travel upward in a arc losing height and coming down after traveling the distance it was meant to travel. Upon impact with the grassy plain, the ice shattered, breaking into a million pieces and disappearing within the stalks of the grassy plain becoming invisible from plain sight. "Maybe I should--" He paused and looked at his bat. The air around it become froth and was chilling the grass below it. He loosened his grip and the encasing melted, giving the plants a good helping of water.

"Hmm...?" Allan heard the patter of footsteps from his left. "Oh...heh." Allan smiled and turned his head in such haste he got the glimpse of his stalker. "Nice try." Allan muttered before rearranging his whole body towards the being and stretching his arms as far as his body limited. A hexagon panel appeared before him, as big as his own body giving off a faint glow before the weapons of Annie could clash against it. The moment it did clash, the panel vibrated, changing to a grayish color.

::Norevion::

Annie had jumped back a bit lowering her blades.

"Your sharp as ever." She complimented him. Annie had removed her strawberry red colored jacket and threw it on the ground. She had adjusted her sleves on her kimono and stretched out her arms. "Much better."

She had thought to herself for a moment because she had forgotten why she was in the outskirts of town. Annie had stared out into the distance of the blue sky and a flock of crows had flew over. Annie never really liked crows, so she had decided to ignore them and she had started to space out. Annie had began to think about many things that happened in her life. She was thinking about the time when Prince Darvin had taken control of Ethor after the former king had passed away. Her parents have not fallen for Darvin's brainwashing technique he used to control his citizens. Darvin had wanted Annie's parents to join his personal workforce but they had denied him. While they were rebelling against his ideologies, Annie's older brother Raymond Koch had passed away after being stabbed in the heart with Darvin's sword. She had remembered Raymond's last words to her.

"Annie keep smiling for me, your smile is as beautiful as the stars in the heavens. I know it must be hard for you but even if I'm gone, I'll always watch over you. Thank you for everything my little sister."

Those words have always stayed by Annie's side and they made her feel more spiritually stronger. Than in an instant, she had then remembered what she had wanted to ask Allan after what seemed like a long period of time, but it was only a couple of seconds.

"What are you doing here Ally?"

Annie asked out of curiosity while giving him a strange look on her face.

~Terrycia~

Lena De Morte traced the tracks of snow. The winds had swept away most of the tracks but it hadn't had a chance to badly damage them. They started off as a few tracks but seemed the creature seemed to have joined with others of it's kind. For a brief moment she contemplated whether she should leave and find another one to track but quickly dismissed it. She didn't have longer than morning.

Pulling her dark red cloak tighter around her, she took off at a careful run.

~*~

"Lena, dear, I know this is short notice but I cannot afford to spare anyone tonight," Raithius De Morte had said to her earlier that evening. He motioned to the picture sitting on the table. It contained the image of Raithius, another man about his age, and a girl around mid-teens with an infectious smile. "Do you remember Henry Desule and his daughter?"

She vaguely remembered the girl. They had seen each other at a party or two.

"She was getting married this month but an accident happened," he said.

"If by accident you mean foolishly tempting those things," his thoughts echoed.

"Marissa was out with a few friends collecting flowers for the head ornament when they were attacked by a group of wolves. Marissa escaped with serious wounds but the other two girls died. Her father decided that instead of the usual flower head dress what his daughter needs is the pelt of that wolf for a coat. And it has to be one of the wolves from those woods. The hunters are too busy and the officials won't handle it so Henry has asked us of a favor. That man that taught you to fight taught you how to deal with animals and hunting, correct?"

~*~

The wedding was due for a couple of days. Even for a rush job they would need the fur early.

Which is why Lena was spending the night out there.

Lena didn't particularly care about the cold. Or the sleep she was losing. Or the pettiness lord Desule was showing with this request. She didn't really feel anything. It was just another job.

She paused as she noticed something odd about the tracks. They were starting to swarm and converge, moving in an organized way. Were they on a hunt? That could be good or bad. Would they be in frenzy or would the hunt be over by the time she caught up?

Her head snapped towards the direction of a faint buzzing. It was getting stronger as she carefully crept through the drifts to the source.

Animal and human thoughts were different. Lena always liked animals more than humans purely because their thoughts were quieter. They were less complex. She couldn't understand exactly what they were thinking but she could tell it was based off instinct. Things like to survive, to feed, and to mate. Humans...

Humans had much darker thoughts.

When she came to the spot, she could make out the shapes of the beasts ganging up on something. So they were hunting something...

"Hopefully someone will notice whats going on and help out..."

Lena paused. Looked like she wasn't the only fool that night. Not that it would stop her from her original job.

However...it meant another clean up job.

She was standing upwind of the beasts so they didn't notice anything until she buried one of her knives into the leg of one of the wolves. It snarled in surprise and automatically turned to bite but as it did she caught it's wounded limb with her leg and forced it to fall sideways as she swept her second knife, Rivenscry, vertically across it's stomach.

The fresh blood that splattered her arms caught the attention of its pack mates, drawing the attention away from their initial target. They outnumbered her easily but she never was one to pay attention to minor things like that. A few leapt at her, one from her left and two from the front. She ducked under the pounce of the one to the left and pushed herself forward and to the right of one of the incoming wolves before the first could regain it's footing for another attack. She had Rivenscry ready as she passed the wolf. She held it firmly as it tore past the right side of the wolf's mouth, tearing into delicate tissue as the wolf let out a screeching howl of pain.

Lena rolled off the bank of snow to regain her balance, ending up with her back against something hard and cold. She barely spared a glance at it, instead, taking the time to prepare Rivenscry again, but couldn't help but blink in surprise. It was an ice wall.

~Norevion~

"Oh...? What I'm doing here? Hmmm..." Allan pondered over the thought. "Well, you know. Same old stuff; just practicing with my powers. If I have them, might as well put them to use. Who knows, I might just have to use it again one day." Allan smiled at Annie with warmth behind it. He knew he could depend on Annie for almost anything if needed. The friendship that grew over the course of the years had strengthened with the passing of time. It was odd enough on how they did meet, but nevertheless, they were friends true to the end.

The mentioning of his powers instantly brought another memory to his mind. However, this one was the least persistent one. The incident a few years back, in which, Annie could have died. She could have died but she didn’t for the sole reason of him being in the right place at the right time. Or, rather, the wrong place at the wrong time? Allan didn’t know whether his abilities would be a curse, a burden for him to carry on in the future. Darvin was recruiting soldiers and what if he discovered he had powers? Would he have to fight in a fruitless warfare? Allan didn’t want to be a part of such nonsense. What Allan did know was that he saved his friend and created an unbreakable bond.

Tragically, Allan sought out to prevent the usage of his abilities around people and only in secret. When he could, he would go out and practice his skills to hone them just in case another event was to rise and befall the town. As the months passed, Allan mastered new skills and discovered his other two latent abilities. He wouldn’t consider himself gifted until he found out his best friend Annie had such powers but of a different variety.

This would soon pique his interest in the matter.

With the limited books at a nearby small library, Allan had soon discovered that in a fable, from long ago, it depicted that everyone had powers like himself. Confused, he searched more but came up empty-handed. If everyone could use them freely, why didn’t they? For Allan, it was only until that incident that such powers existed in his mind. Maybe it was that, for most people, the knowledge of such god-like gifts were sealed from memory. Was it for the purpose of the people’s sanity and peace? But now, in a time of turmoil, it might be best that the seal be uplifted. Just in case. Just in case of something. Whatever that “something” may be.

Allan’s smile weakened at the current dilemma growing in his mind but he tried his best to hide it.

~Danitus~

The night air was cool. Rey hurried along the beaten road, he didn't want to look back until he got over the last hill. It pained him to be away from home alone, it was his first time. But he had to go, he was the only PSI-enabled person and he had to go with the wishes of his town. They were not pleased with the new reign of the prince, and they would not follow his new ways. He himself didn't mind the technology, but he didn't like the feeling he got from the Prince either. So he was setting off to join the first rebel group he could find.

He caught himself thinking of his sensei as he ran along the road. After he had found out about his power his parents had sent him to a tutor once a week to train his power and keep it under control. They weren't long, but these sessions left many a good advice with Rey. He thought of his old sensei and how he might be lonely, but he thought he would be returning soon.

Ahead of him he heard a noise behind a tree. He thought to himself

"maybe i shouldn't have been running for so long, i'm a little out of breath!"

From inside a tree came three large bats, abnormal for this area. "Now where did you come from, you guys look kind of cute for being all flesh eaty." One of the bats noticed him and raced toward him, shortly followed by the others. "Oh crap, oops." The first bat lunged and Rey tripped backwards narrowly missing the gnawing teeth above. He quickly got back up and pulled out his bow-gun. He let loose a round into the air to try and scare the bats away. He was taught to never kill unless nesseccary. But these bats seemed to be resilient, one of them rushed to the side but was quickly dispatched with a quick bullet. "I'm sorry!" Rey quickly turned to see the other two racing toward him, he focused like he was taught and release two barbs from the bow-gun's shaft they drove into the last bats, pinning them through to the ground. Not wanting to look at the bodies of the beasts, Rey moved on over the last hill and sat down.

He finally looked back, and he was unable to see his town. But he was exhausted from the fight, it was his first real one. He was still pumped with the adrenaline, and he loved the feeling fo letting loose in a fight. But still he had no one to celebrate that he had won his first fight or to tell how horrible he felt for killing something, even in self defense. What he had tried to prevent by not looking back at his home had started. A tear rolled down his cheek, but he stopped it, got up, and shook himself. "Come on, pull it together, you shouldn't be alone for too long." He set off again, he had to make it to another town so he could get some information on rebellion movements and to get some rest.

"I suppose your right, hey Allan do you mind if I practice with you? My powers are acting kind of strange, and I get this weird feeling when people are alone. If I could control it somehow then maybe, I might be able to help someone just like you helped me back then."

Annie looked down with a depressed expression on her face. She was feeling this way because she had remembered that she was in quite a bind back then, running for her life and being unable to fight back. If it wasn't for Allan, she would have died on the spot. Annie was always grateful to Allan for doing that, she knows that no matter how much time she spends with him; she will never be able to pay Allan back for saving her life. After Allan had saved her, she had gained strange powers. The ability to battle the ordeals that lied ahead of life. Because she had gained them, she felt that she needed to try her hardest for Allan and her deceased brother Raymond.

Annie had accidentally use the power to manipulate wind shortly after the incident, she had wanted to save the neighbors cat that had gotten stuck up in the tree. The tree wasn't sturdy enough for her to climb it so it wasn't an option. She kept thinking of a way to help the cat but she ended up shaking the tree lightly with a wind force. Releasing the cat from the branches, she had realized that she had the same power Allan had used from before to help her. She wondered what it could possibly mean but she couldn't find any decent answers.

Removing the somewhat depressed expression on her face, she quickly gave Allan a strange smile. One that could possibly scare someone which wasn't really Annie's intent.

::Terrycia::

Natalia perked her head up, listening to the noises outside. Someone was out there, fighting of the wolves. Could they know that she was inside the ice shelter? A wolf ran at the ice wall, causing cracks to appear. "Damn! This isn't going to hold up much longer! I guess I have to come out now." She knew she could probably fight now that the numbers of the wolves had been reduced, and thought that whoever was out there fighting them off may need some help. Before she was able to do anything, she noticed a figure slide by the wall of ice. She could barely make it out, but it appeared to be a human, female. As she inhaled, the wall of ice fell to the ground, returning back to water. The wolves were attacking the man, without enough time for him to recover. She acted quickly. Natalia drew her sword, and charged. As she went up against the wolves, she used the water around her to attack as well, slicing at them with super fast speed. She stopped only for a moment to gaze around her, then closing her eyes and dropping her sword, she put her arms out. The wolves continued to charge, but Natalia was motionless. Moments later, water began to surround the pack of wolves. It started a whirlpool around them, which Natalia had confined to only that area to protect the woman from being sucked in. She looked at the beasts and chucked. "Now die..." she said as she drew her arms closer together, pulverizing the wolves.

Without a moment of rest, she ran over to the stranger and knelt down beside her. "Thank you for your assistance. I would be dead if it were not for you." She extended her hand over her body. A glowing light emitted from her hand as the minor wounds began to heal. A quiet sigh followed as she stood up. "My name is Natalia." she bowed gently. "If it is alright with you, I would like to travel with you for a bit." Her chance to escape her life of boredom was here. It all depended on the answer she gave. She eagerly awaited a response.
