"I agree with the formation idea, but..." Folevarr edges away from Adonis and Sakura "I don't think we should be forming a tight, close group in this fog." Let's move with everyone watching all sides, formed in a circle of sorts."

Sakura observed Adonis's flirting with a curious expression. She had to admire Doran's fighting ability and the fact that he was pretty much the only person on the team that wasn't hated by someone. However, with Adonis's flirting and WORF's undeniable loyalty to him, she strongly suspected he might be a pimp, and she had always been told that pimps were bad.

"I'll have to get him for being so bad later," Sakura mumbled to herself.

Pookie sighed, despite wanting to stay as far away from the barbarian as he could, he had a point. Slinking back with the rest of the group he took up position behind everyone else. The big, dumb, but oddly handsome and compelling goliath iterated another retarded idea that elicited a painful groan from basically everyone in the group.

"Thank god, my tiny amount respect for these people is steadily growing", Pookie said under his breath.

"I don't know why we're doing this. Well, I guess we're looking for demon worshippers." Jal sighed. "Well, whatever. In any case, it's probably a better idea to stay close in this fog than to spread out. If those are demon-worshippers and not just... innocent merry chanting death forest people, getting lost isn't something we want to happen at all."

Then, he turned to the goliath:

"Nope."

The party walks for another 4 hours, and still the chanting is definitely closer, but still far away. The ground seems softer, and the fog is leaving a layer of condensation on the party's clothes. It is the middle of the night now, and walking all day has made the party tired.

"oh my god" sakura gasped, forgetting all use of proper punctuation and capitalization. "this sucks so much"


"look, the chanting is still really far away, I'm gonna have to suggest we camp, even if the ground is a little muddy"

"Everyone, I think we are all under a spell...!"

"I am not sleeping in the god damn mud." Doran, once again, complained. But it was true that he didn't much feel like continuing through the forest of death, especially as conditions got worse. Turning to Folevarr in response to his claim, "Well if we're under a spell, do you have any idea how to dispell it? I mean you're the mage here, if you or the cleric don't know how to do it then we're probably ****. Also if we're camping I'll sleep in the trees if I have to."

"Well, I do love playing in the mud. So why not?"

"Well I don't know know how to dispell stuff and I doubt anyone else in our group knows how to either. We could disrupt the source somehow, but I don't think we should move anywhere." Folevarr rested his elbow against a tree and scratched his chin. "Perhaps we could try a combined ghost sound to scare the chanters?"

"Well, I'm tired. If we have to camp here, we'd better fashion something to keep the weather from taking us halfway to death. I don't think we're going to be scaring off potentially demon-worshipping chanters in a dark foggy forest at night, either. For that matter, if we sleep here, we need to have at least one person awake at all times. The chanting doesn't sound like some kind of yearly bardic reunion."

"And once we've rested, I suggest we get back to somewhere that doesn't look like some creature's damp stomach and actually get some idea of what we're going to do. We're looking for servants of, ah, that demon lord. El-something. They don't have to be in this forest, and if they are, we probably should get some idea of where they are, who they are, and whether or not they're going to want to eat our livers. Or summon something else to eat our livers. Anyone who can tell us these things is probably not someone we want to talk to, but here is not a place we want to sleep in. And now I will have to catch my breath."

"Well, Doran." Pookie says while nudging him in the side, "You and Adonis seem close enough for him to protect you from all that nasty mud."

Pookie also turned to Folevarr, "Yes, and you're probably stupid."

"Honestly, this is just ****, why did we wander out here in the first place, I blame all you faggots. We've been wandering for 8 hours. I'm with the halfling on this one despite the fact that he has no idea what a bard convention sounds like, jesus. I had figured when the Elf said she 'heard' chanting it wasn't 8 hours away. God dammit."

"Oh, right, for a second I imagined you sang better than those guys."

Pookie was tired and pissed, and insulting him as a bard was probably the last thing he wanted to hear at that very moment. So he did what any other tired, pissed off bard would do. He threw a punch. At Jal's face.

Pookie winds up, steps forward and swings as high as he can. The punch thuds softly into Jal's side, and Pookie collapses into him. Jal falls backwards, and the pair begin to snooze almost immediately. Pookie mumbles a few more snappy remarks, and Jal murmurs some equally crabby comebacks, and then they are asleep, snoring peacefully.
