The Monster Book is a very informative book, that is true. However, there is a glaring problem with it. Monster Locations. Every time I record a monster it's sometimes Location: ????????? How many times do I have to use Magic Lenses or Inspect Magic for the location to be recorded?

I've been wondering the same thing...I thought you needed to use Inspect Magic to get the Location, but I dunno.

Too bad Raine doesn't get it until Level 20

You need to have Raine use the magic lens to get the location, except for the enemies you fight before Raine becomes available. This will give you the location and the stats. To get the drop items and the steal items you have to fight the enemies enough to where they drop everything and actually steal the items. I hope this helps.

So, Raine must use Magic Lens. Got it.

Question: to get the associated trophy for completing the Monster Book (Monster Fanatic), do you need to Magic Lens/Inspect Magic EVERY enemy in addition to defeating them, or is just defeating them enough?

Defeating all of them is not enough.

I'm not sure what is enough though. Whether you need to know everything including locations and stealable items, or just their general info.

FFFFFFFFFFF.

Got the 1,000,000 casino chips trophy at least. That's actually easy once you hit "Paradise Mode".

Paradise Mode activates with the casino slots when you've won around 150,000 chips in one sitting. As well there being certain visual cues, the music speeds up and you'll find yourself getting BARs and lucky 777s CONSTANTLY. It seems to last for about 10 minutes. I got over 3,000,000 when it happened to me.

For those going for the 1,000,000 chips trophy, I advise you to save/reset until you've gotten around 15,000 chips. Once you've saved your 15~k chips, keep going for a big win (resetting when you run out of chips) to put you into the 100k range and then KEEP GOING. Eventually you'll hit Paradise Mode. All in all it only took me 1-2 hours to get 3,000,000 chips as opposed to the 6-7 hour horror stories I've been hearing.

Also, casino chips carry over if you carry over mini-game data. XD

You don't need the drop/steal/location information to get the title. Either use the spell or the item and you are set.

Good, cause I got all the monsters but 1, and that is Zelos himself.
