Help me decide again (PS4)

So I'm getting (another) good deal from a friend. A brand new PS4 for 2500 SEK which is pretty good (a new one costs around 3700 SEK over here).

Like always with consoles there will probably be coming out many different models so I'm not sure if I should wait for a potential upgraded machine? If anyone around here has a Ps4 I'd love to know what you think of it :3

It's fine, Moontoon, I understand your concerns perfectly considering nonsense like the 3DS.

I think with the PS4 you're pretty much good to go. The only thing you might find lacking in the future would be disk space, but you can delete install files (which are much smaller than I thought they would be) and installation takes single-digit minutes and the thing supports easy hard drive upgrades to boot (seriously, look up a tutorial, I could even do it if I cared enough, and I hate messing with hardware.)

I would only hesitate if you cared about possibly getting a limited edition console, like if the Dragon Quest Heroes metal slime console were to come out here.

Just remember that you now require Playstation Plus for online multiplayer, if you're hoping to do some of that.

Thanks, Taiyz. I ended up getting it (the guy needed me to decide quickly and I figured I can always sell it later if I don't want it anymore).

Sucks that you have to get Playstation Plus to play online, but I guess I'll look into that when the time comes. There aren't really any games I'm interested in right now anyway.

Did he buy it and then realize he needed money for something more important? Was it even still new in the box?

Either way, it's a solid system and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, I'm just not 100% about what games you play outside of JRPGs and Nintendo games so I'm not sure how the library will suit you for now.

It was an unopened box and apparently he had another one at home. Got this one in some campaign or whatever you'd call it in english ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If he wasn't a friend I might have wondered about its origins, haha.

I'm guessing my fiancé will be using it more than me, but when Tales and Vanillaware games (also KH3) are coming I'll be glad I got it :3

PS+ on PS4 is a nice way to catch up on old indie games. The F2P games do not require it if you plan on playing them at all, either.
