It also grants the "Sky Attack" Compound EX Skill which lets you use Rising Falcon and the Tempest techs in mid-air.

Pow Hammer

Since you don't use Colette, give her these 4 EX Skills to grant the "Item Getter" Compound EX Skill, which guarantees that you'll steal an item when you use Item Rover/Thief on an unguarding enemy. Useful for stealing an EX Gem MAX from the final boss' final form.

This grants the "Concentrate" Compound EX Skill, which is fantastic as it means he won't get interrupted by enemy attacks when he's casting a spell. The individual skills also allows you faster spell casting overall and Spell Charge makes it so you can "store" a spell and cast it for free but with less power if you play as him.

Personal (level 2)
Dash (level 2)
Prolong (level 3)
Add Combo (level 4)
Hard Hit
Combo Force


This allows you to avoid enemy encounters depending on how high your Luck stat is, increases the duration of various techs (such as Force Seal and the Sylva/Tethe Seals) and increases your basic attack combo by one. You'll get "Hard Hit" and "Combo Force" as Compound Skills, which increase enemy stagger and increase the damage from your combos respectively.
For awesome results, use Force Seal on an enemy to further increase their stagger and then go to town with 4 attacks followed by Serpent Seal Pinion. They'll rarely, if ever, be able to fight back so you can keep on attacking.

Raine
Speed Cast (level 3)
Item Pro (level 4)
Spell Save (level 4)
Happiness (level 4)
Concentrate

This grants you "Concentrate", which is CRUCIAL to have on Raine. It is super important with some of the tougher bosses that Raine's healing spells don't get interrupted, so be sure to save your first three level 4 EX Gems to make this set-up.

Kratos/Zelos

Two options here. Firstly:

Super Chain (level 3)
Taunt (level 1) OR Personal (level 2, Zelos only)
Slasher (level 3)
Eternal (level 3)
Super Blast
Combo Force
(if you pick Taunt)

This set-up gives you "Super Blast" and, if you have Taunt, "Combo Force". This allows you to use 6 basic attacks in a row before going into your tech combo, and your tech combo can be in any order you like. Usually characters can only use a level 1 tech, followed by a level 2 tech and finishing with a level 3 tech but with this you can go in whatever order you like. This is good because tech combos get weaker the longer they are, so you can use your most powerful techs (eg: Super Lightning Blade) first so that only your weaker techs (eg: Demon Fang) are weakened in the combo. Both your tech combo and basic combo will be stronger overall thanks to "Combo Force". However you could also go with "Personal" for Zelos to get free items from female NPCs. You'll get better items depending on how high your Luck stat is but you'll lose out on "Combo Force".

The other option with Kratos/Zelos is:

Super Chain (level 3)
Sky Attack (level 4)
Spell Charge (level 4)
Speed Cast (level 4)
Aerial Spell
Concentrate
Landing


This isn't as "good" as the other set-up as Kratos/Zelos aren't great spellcasters and are much better melee fighters, but it can be more fun to play with. You'll still have Super Chain to use techs in any order but you'll now get "Concentrate", so Zelos can use his Mystic Arte without being interrupted & Kratos/Zelos can cast spells without being interrupted, and "Aerial Spell", which lets you instantly use a novice spell after an upwards basic attack. "Landing" lets you move sooner after, well, landing. Here's a video showing off what you can do with this set-up (skip to 50 seconds in):



Presea and Regal

I don't have much advice about these two as I don't really use them. With Presea I'd recommend at least having P. Charge (level 3) as this will let you use her Mystic Artes, even though this deprives you of her "Glory" Compound skill.
With Regal I'd recommend having a level 2 EX Gem to use his Personal skill whenever you go shopping, as this grants you a 10% discount.
I'm sure the others can give you better advice with these two characters.

You can only learn it AFTER clearing the Tower of Salvation in Tethe'alla. To learn Judgment you'll first need to perform the Holy Binds Mystic Arte. To perform Holy Binds, you'll need Demon Spear at 100 or more uses.

In a fight, get both into Overlimit AND have your HP very low (less than 16%, the HP number will be red). With both low HP and Overlimit active, use Demon Spear on an enemy. You'll use Holy Binds instead. Be sure to WIN the fight and Zelos will learn Judgment.

Zelos has another Mystic Arte - Divine Judgment. To use it, have Judgment at 20 or more uses and simply use Judgment when in Overlimit. It doesn't matter how much HP you have with this one.

mmm...i see well im try to do holy jugment with collect but im don know how? and by the way im not sure but thing im saw a video of sheena make a unison attack one time and do it again without charge the bar how im can do that? o.0

Colette's Holy Judgment requires 50 or more uses of both Holy Song and Judgment. Once those requirements are met, it'll RANDOMLY be cast when using either of those spells.

EVERY character except Kratos/Zelos can have the "L. Unison" Compound EX Skill by equipping Taunt (level 1) and Personal (level 2). With it on any one character, there's a CHANCE the Unison Attack bar stays full after a Unison Attack. There's no limit on how many times it can happen, so theoretically you could pull off several Unison Attacks in a row (though that's HIGHLY UNLIKELY).

First of all I’d like to mention that TrulyBigHeaded’s Ex Skill list is very comprehensive and indeed very good.

There are however many other interesting ex skill combinations which can be utilized to great effect. For the sake of completion and variety, I’ll list some as well.

This first Ex Skill set is very similar to the one TrulyBigHeaded mentioned. However, by replacing Lloyd’s Personal ex skill (which allows you to run faster in dungeons and towns) by Sharp-Eyed, Lloyd gains two neat new abilities:

Jump Combo allows Lloyd to use normal attacks after landing (if you haven’t used them already in the same combo). For example, you could start a combo by using techs, finish with a tech which leaves you in midair (like tempest) and then attack normally.
Recovery Arts allows Lloyd to attack in midair after recovering from an attack. If you’re thrown into the air, simply press the guard button and follow up with a tech/ arte or a normal attack.

This is probably the most popular Ex Skill set for Lloyd. When guarding and attacking a foe while it is about to attack you, you can counter its attack, dealing extra damage. The Counter Combo Compound Ex Skill allows you to follow up on this counter by using techs/artes.
The Technical Ex Skill reduces Lloyd’s TP consumption by 10%, which is quite a lot considering how quickly Lloyd tends to run out of TP.

This set is probably the most popular Ex Skill set for Colette. It is also overpowered as heck.
Life Thief and Spirit Thief make sure that whenever you hit an opponent multiple times ( a combo ), you recover some HP and TP. Spamming Para Ball makes her gain more TP than she spends.

It is nearly impossible to run out of TP and HP if you control Colette and at the end of each battle there’s a chance her TP and HP increase by 1% (because of Life Up and Spirit Up). While this may not seem like much, remember that 1% of 3000 HP is still 30 HP, and 1% of 300 TP is still 3 TP, which is half the cost of a Ray Thrust. But it adds up over time, and she can and will outshine the rest of your party in terms of TP and HP pretty quickly. Not that you’ll be likely to run out of TP either way with Spirit Thief equipped.

Concentrate is a must-have for Genis and therefore TrulyBigHeaded’s Ex Skill set for Genis is much better in all but one situation: The Coliseum. This set however, can help you with that.

Speed Cast reduces the casting time for Genis’ spells, while rhythm allows you to reduce Genis’ casting time further by repeatedly pressing the Attack button (in a certain rhythm).
The Compound Ex Skill Reducer decreases the TP cost of the same spell used twice in a row by 25%, which is huge.
The real star of this build however, is Randomizer. Randomizer randomizes the casting time of Genis’ Spells, ranging from much shorter to much longer, depending on his LCK stat. Equip Genis’ Devil’s Arm to give him as low a LCK stat as possible, enter the arena, and start the spell you want to cast. If it doesn’t cast instantly, cancel the spell by guarding and try again.
That’s all.

Blood spirit is awesome, as it allows Genis to regain his much needed TP whenever he takes damage, but sadly it can’t be used with other great ex skills.

As with Genis, Concentrate makes the difference between Raine being near useless and Raine making the rest of your party near invincible. So again, it would probably be best to go with TrulyBigHeaded’s build for Raine. However, personally, I don’t use it. I use the one above.

Quick Spell gives Raine a chance to cast a spell without spending TP, while Lucky Magic gives her a chance to cast a spell without casting time.
Item Master increases the effectiveness of items used by Raine in battle.

I’ve been told that my way of utilizing Raine in battle is very odd, but then again, most often I use Kratos and Zelos to heal (free heals with spell charge!) and Raine for status buffs and item usage and minor healing.

Another set I’ve been experimenting with is the following:

Technical

Spirit Up works the same way for Raine as it does for Colette, it gives her a chance to increase her max TP by 1% after each battle. This adds up over time a lot. Technical reduces TP consumption by 10%, which is also very nice. Auto Aid however, is brilliant. With it equipped, Raine will sometimes cast First Aid automatically when taking damage. It works really bloody well.

Raine’s Personal Ex Skill is also very nice, in that it decreases the cost of all of her rates to 1 TP whenever you’re standing on a Memory Circle. Abuse this by switching a level 2 Ex Gem to Personal whenever you want to heal up and then switch it back.

Sheena
Prolong (3)
Guard Plus (4)
Speed Cast (4)
Blood Spirit

Sheena also has Blood Spirit (Recover TP by taking damage), but while it sounds cool, it isn’t all that useful because of its lack of synergy with other ex skills. Don't use it.

This set increases the amount of HP you recover with Life Seal and the amount of TP you recover with Spirit Seal. While it’s nothing to sneeze at, there’s a better set:

Quick Turn/ Hard Hit

Add Combo adds another basic attack to Sheena’s repertoire of normal attacks, which honestly, she needs badly. Jump Combo allows her to continue a basic combo after landing, which is also nice. Lloyd also has this Compound Ex Skill.
With the Level 4 Speed Cast Ex Skill equipped, you get Quick Turn, which is nice if you want to turn around instantly while running across the battlefield. It’s great for dodging slow attacks, but Hard Hit might be better. With Prolong equipped, you’ll get Hard Hit, which increases the stagger duration of an opponent when Sheena attacks it while it is attacking.

The most important Compound Ex Skill though, is Combo Force. Combo Force is a very important Ex Skill. It negates mitigation of damage in a combo. In short, each successive hit in a combo will deal less damage than the previous one because of a hidden modifier which decreases your damage the more hits you deal. Combo Force makes sure they all deal full damage. For this reason alone I believe Combo Force is one of the best Ex Skills in the game.

Kratos/Zelos
I have nothing to add. Aerial Spell is awesome and I swear by it.
Zelos’ Personal Ex Skill is too good to pass up on though. Equip two rabbit’s feet on him and go wild!

Presea
There’s four roads you can walk with Presea. Two of them are only accessible if you control her yourself, while the others can be used by the AI as well.

The P.Charge Ex Skill enables the use of P.Charge. You trigger P.Charge by holding down the Attack button for a short amount of time (you’ll get a visual hint). While in P. Charge mode, Presea will have increased attack power.
P.Defense makes sure she can’t stagger while being dealt damage in P.Charge mode.
Suppress is the real gem here though. It negates all damage below a certain threshold. This means that at higher levels, she won’t take damage, period.

Presea’s AI will never use P.Charge, ergo, it can’t use this ex skill set properly.

With this Ex Skill set, Presea can actually heal herself by either Taunting, or standing still in battle. I believe Taunting counts as standing still as well, but I’m not entirely sure. T. Cancel is there to allow Presea to cancel her Taunt by guarding.
It’s a fun, controversial set to use, but I’m not sure how strong it would be. I’ve yet to test it, but it’s on top of my list.

I have never seen the AI taunt, but maybe that’s because I’ve never had the Taunt ex skill equipped on an AI controlled character for a long time.

Glory is amazing. Nothing can stagger you. Sounds great, but I often forget I’m taking damage while using glory, so it’s not the best Ex Skill for me personally. I die a lot while using it, and therefore I cannot recommend it. Go with Suppress.

Suppress

Variable increases Presea’s ATK stat depending on her HP. Suppress nullifies damage below a certain threshold. Don’t take damage at high levels and increased attack power? Hell yes! Recommended for AI Presea.

Jump Combo allows Regal to continue a basic combo after landing (Like Lloyd and Sheena). Aerial Jump allows Regal to jump when he is already in the air, which is fun if nothing else, and very useful when chaining techs/artes together.
And hey! It’s Combo Force again!
Seriously, go with Combo Force. It’s fantastic.

Regal can become a bit of a tank with this Ex Skill set. HP Recover allows him to gradually recover half of the last damage he received, while Healer Taunt allows him to recover both HP and TP while taunting. It’s quite a nice set, and often overlooked in favor of:

Yes, it is possible to have both Zelos and Kratos in your team, but only for one Dungeon (Iselia Human Ranch).

For the rest of the game they're Mutually Exclusive (you can only have Kratos or Zelos, not both).

I actually have no idea how many times you can use Mystic Artes in battle. Lloyd's Falcon Crest can only be used once per battle if I recall correctly, but I don't know about the others, nor about whether you can only use one per battle or one per character per battle.

I'll have try some of those set-ups on my next playthrough Sliv, hadn't heard of a few of them 'till now  Smile 

I don't believe there's a limit on how many Mystic Artes can be done by different characters per battle but each individual Mystic Arte can only be done once a battle I think. So for example you can do both Falcon's Crest and Sacred Shine but not Falcon's Crest twice.

Raine's Fairy Circle does not revive anyone. It's pretty much a slightly better Revitalize, Field Barrier and Acuteness all rolled into one. It also raises everyone's Magic Attack and does some damage to all enemies on the field. To use it, have Revitalize at 100 or more uses and use it when Raine is in Overlimit.

you need to have used judgment 50 times
you need to have used holy song 50 times
the mystic arte (holy judgment) is random
it does not matter which one you use, but I would recommend holy song because it costs less TP to use

Oh men why this TOSC could not be a remake...its so anoying all the requeriment for use a mystic arte and the worse part is the over limit why the People of Namco could not make a over limite bar like TOA...T.T

Holy Judgment could be used more than once in battle in GC not sure about this one though it hasn't happened yet. Any overlimit ones can be used more than once a battle as well.

I have a question while on this topic, I had Demon Spear used way more than 100 times, but I can never get Shining Bind to activate even with the overlimit + red HP criteria :/

Clear the tower of salvation in Tethe'alla
Demon Spear must've been used 100+ times
HP must be in red ( below 16% health )
Overlimit mode must be active
Zelos must be player controlled
Use Demon Spear in battle

He'll learn Judgment at the end of the battle automatically.

edit: apparently it's still random.

Using Judgment 20+ times and then again in over limit gives you Divine Judgment.

It might be that Shining Bind counts as an advanced level spell, which would mean it's being screwed up by the spell queue. Make sure your party isn't using any mid/advanced level spells at the time. Then again, this doesn't seem to affect any other Mystic Arte.

In what part of tower of salvation are the entrace to the dungeon of the 100 floor? Im Know you guys says are in the tower but were exactly? By the way in My game the tower was destroy but im can still going?
