The trailers have me really pumped, the way they wrote Zestiria makes it perfect for an anime IMO. I hope it expands on some things and adds some interesting stuff too! I love the sound of the soundtrack and the aesthetic they chose <3

In a bit of obvious news since they uploaded the subtitled trailers, Daisuki.net will be simulcasting this starting July 3, 11:30 pm JST (except in Japan, China, and will be a week late in "some areas"). Subtitle languages available will be English, German, French, Italian, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Traditional Chinese.

That's actually amazing news!! I'm sure AC will probably have the link, but do you mind posting it here nearer to when it starts please? I suck at finding stream links, I'm sorry if it's an exceedingly obvious one then just point me in the right direction for the future :s

I wonder if Canada will be "some areas" I'm still peeved Americans get Sailor Moon Crystal on the subber's website but not Canadians

Sure, a link/reminder closer to airtime and once the first episode is actually up sounds good. I'll gladly do so (unless someone else beats me to it, that's cool too). Very Happy

Bump: Funimation will also stream this
Hopefully they both can put up some direct links to each series before they start so I can link them beforehand

Beat me to it, came here to post that. Would have preferred Crunchy (so my dad could watch) but on the plus side FUNi pretty much guarantees English dub voices accurate to the game, because FUNi actually cares about things like that.

And in another bump, the OP theme's release date was also announced (as well as Berseria's since they're on the same single). CD is releasing August 24.
http://www.flow.mu/news/detail.php?id=536

There will be three editions:
Regular Edition-1000 yen
Includes Kaze no Uta, BURN, and the instrumental versions of both

Limited Edition (CD+DVD)-1500 yen
CD includes Kaze no Uta, BURN, instrumental versions of both
DVD includes music videos for Kaze no Uta and BURN, and the making of both

Anime Edition (CD+DVD)-1500 yen
CD includes Kaze no Uta, BURN, TV/Game size versions of both, instrumentals of the TV/Game size versions
DVD includes Tales versions of both songs' music videos

First episode airs in a week Very Happy

And since I somehow missed it, here's a tweet Go Shiina posted a few days ago with a small clip of some music from the anime during recording

Another bump. Two days left. This is a reminder that it should be up on Daisuki July 3 at 11:30 JST (convert that to your timezone). Not 100% sure when Funi will add episodes. Links to the series pages on Daisuki and Funimation below for easy access.
http://www.daisuki.net/anime/detail.TalesofZestiliatheX.html
http://www.funimation.com/shows/tales-of-zestiria-the-x/videos

Edit: Dub confirmed. Will be previewed at AX tomorrow and streamed later, though the casting and performances in the preview version are apparently not final and will be changed
http://www.funimation.com/blog/2016/07/01/special-worldwide-sneak-peek-english-dub-premiere-of-tales-of-zestiria-the-x-only-at-anime-expo/

Edit2: According to France's Anime Digital Network, this will have a total of 25 episodes and be split into two seasons, with 13 episodes airing this summer and the next 12 airing next year.
Splitting the seasons like that is normal for TV anime done by ufotable that lasts longer than a single one, so I'm not really surprised (though I am glad to hear it's gonna be longer than a single 13 episode season)

Edit3: It would seem the US is one of the "certain areas" that get it a week late over at Daisuki, so Funimation's subs are my only option for an actual simulcast. That SUCKS for people like me who are particular about terminology because Funi's subs, while having better wording, don't stick to the localized terms at all while Daisuki's do. Celestial Record became Record of Seraphic Remains, Sacred Blade Festival became Holy Sword Festival, Hyland was spelled Highland, Mathia was spelled Matthia, Marlind was spelled Marind...

Looks like Funimation you need a payed account to view, I signed up for a basic and I still can't view it, and Canada is also one of the "certain areas" that get it a week late, oh well, one more week.

lol so this is the reason they delayed it for us
So you know...instead of telling us beforehand they made some of us wait for it before realizing it wasn't gonna be up. Causing the first episode, which has an anime original story instead of something from the game, to be spoiled for some of us.
So Daisuki was crappy about their communication and wasted my time while Funimation can't stick to the ingame terminology so neither of them are getting my money or site views.

Like my tweet reply to this information: UGH of course. I do completely agree with your indignation (pun only partially intended)

Now I have no idea where to watch it....I'll find a way

So basically what you're saying is Zestiria can be freely watched one week late with a proper translation.

I don't see the problem here, this is what CruchyRoll does, I think?

I'm mad about the lack of communication involving it, not really the system itself. I'm cool with waiting a week and sitting through ads on CR because I already know that's how it is (though sometimes I mooch off my sister's premium account when I'm at her house). If they had told everyone in the affected regions before the episode was scheduled to be up, I would've done the same thing.

Oh oops I didn't realize it was still free one week later somehow, they really could have fully disclosed everything before though, I get why you're upset cute p

I just saw ToZ X episode 0 review from IGN and... wow. IGN really is ignorant.

"Little character development"...

"We haven't even seen the MC"...

"5/10"

I'm not even sure why I bothered going on that site -_-

I can live with the delay since it's still free to watch, but I'm going to have to avoid spoilers like the plague (like what might happen here). That stinks a bit.

So it must be good then!

Really looking forward to Episode 1. cheers

That's possible. I thought it was one of her loose spells that hit Alisha.

This isn't good if they aren't properly citing the game. They should've waited until after the show was done airing...
