Isn't Legendia the only pre PS3 Tales game not get ported or remade?

Why is that? I think it's weird.

It didn't sold that well, it didn't receivee good review, the game engine is weird and it was released in the same year as Abyss.

Also you should keep in mind that Namco makes their games for japanese market.

Yeah I don't like Legendia all that much. Random battles, virtually no side content, crappy battle system, ect. If they did a remake it could be so much better but I guess its 9 years too late.

If it were its tenth year, then yes. But maybe we'll see something next year. Just look at Symphonia.

I really hope so. I love Legendia.

But then again, this is Namco. If ports don't count, they ignored Eternia's and Destiny 2's 10th Anniversaries.

And hush, Legendia is good. That "crappy" battle system is actually fun when you want to go back to classic LMBS, with no linking, FOFs, or Fusion-HA!!!!

Yeah, but I aint surprised since its not likely to sell well. The battle system took a huge step backward when Symphonia already had 3-D battles. Of course players aint going to be happy with something like that.

Symphonia's battle system is old but Legendia's is or rather feels even older. A port wouldn't be a good idea because of that. I guess, aside from money, Symphonia got a HD remake because of its popularity and so didn't need anything else.
IIrc, Legendia's animations (and graphics) were even worse than Symphonia's.

I like Legendia to some degree but it left a lot to be desired.

I actually like Legendia's battle system more than Symphonia's. Iirc in Legendia you could dash through enemies, while in symphonia you got trapped behind them because you were stuck on a "line" while the enemies could literally run circles around you. Symphonia has my least favorite battle system out of all the tales games I've played.

Also, I thought Legendia had the best music out of any of the Tales games I've played. I don't see it getting a port or a remake any time in the near future though, unfortunately. If they did, I'd hope they voice the character quest. (Why would you leave them unvoiced to begin with?)

They ran out of budget. Which is also why in those days you didn't see the skits voiced in most Tales games.

Well, honestly I'm not too upset it hasn't been remade. My PS2 still works, and this makes it easier to decide which version to go with.

If they were to remake/port Legendia, I would be happy with 2 things:

Remove random encounters. The dungeons dragged on simply because you kept running into enemies every 2 steps.

Please, please, please, TP regeneration from normal attacks!

As much as I love Legendia, they really remake stuff for profit.

I'd rather if Legendia got a full-on remake rather than an HD port tbh. An HD port probably wouldn't make it any less of an eyesore to look at, and the gameplay feels so dated and clunky and it has a lot of flaws.

Yeah Legendia would need a remake. The character quests were physical torture to play, they weren't difficult, everything just had jacked up health.

I'd say Legendia is the worst Tales in the series. Thumbs up if you agree, thumbs down if not.

Sadly got skipped on 3DS despite coming out very close to Abyss and being a standalone entry, fully 3D, and by the Soul Calibur team!

Tales of team might not want to remake it either, and it didn't sell very well.

Thinking on it, Legendia is now the only pre-ps3 era mothership Tales game not to be ported or remade. At this rate I wonder if it will become a hidden gem with expensive price as Destiny and Eternia are in NA. Buying those PS1 games in NA cost much money..

Sadly, I think that's pretty much its fate CP :C I'd rather otherwise, I'd love for a fresh breath of life into it so more people can experience it (Though if its treated like Hearts R story and character wise I would literally be in tears, sad tears), but right now its probably not a thing. I want them focusing on new material anyways, but if they do find the time for a non-Tempest full remake, Legendia is my top pic so I can get more of it <3 (Or Eternia since its the one I vibed the least with and it also has lacking attention given to it)

I do hope they go back and revisit some older titles in the series, It's a shame how they even lack cameo costumes. There is so many times I thought Meredy's outfit would fit on a character nice, and Hilda's and many more. But what do we get? More Yuri cameo costumes. I actually thought Tempest R was going to happen, wonder what happen though.

Anywho I agree with what you said on them focusing on new material the most. I would rather experience new Tales waiting to be told than dwell on the past.
