This is old news I suppose, considering they've got over 24 million views on YouTube, but WagakkiBand is a music entertainment group that combines traditional Japanese instruments (wagakki) with newer instruments. They started out doing covers for Vocaloid music such as Senbonzakura and Tengaku, but have started doing their own thing (not that I claim to be an expect on more obscure Vocaloid songs, but considering that they did the OP/ED songs for the Sengoku Musou anime based on Samurai Warriors 4, they must be doing some original stuff.) Come to mention it, I wouldn't be surprised to see them as CHARACTERS in a Samurai Warriors/Sengoku Basara game, honestly. There's even DLC for Samurai Warriors 4-II where a war fan-wielding character can use the lead vocalist's fan from Ikusa's PV, and you unlock the song as music for the game.
They've obviously got a pretty large foreign following and their website has multiple languages (again, 24 MILLION VIEWS on Senbonzakura alone.) Their first CD seems to have contained a lot of Vocaloid stuff, I really wanna hear their version of Luka Luka Night Fever: http://wagakkiband.jp/wagae/discography/detail.php?id=1009483 They have a second CD coming out September 2nd containing everything they've done since then, but it definitely suffers from Japanese LE fuckery, I just ordered the ballbuster edition so I can have everything: http://wagakkiband.jp/wagae/discography/detail.php?id=1010749
