Is there anything aside from the EX-Dungeon?

I haven't been in there just yet. I just finished the game and I read about its current location.

Do we have any quests (random NPCs in town)? Do we get to explore other locations?

I pretty much did every quest possible (I think) before going to the final boss. I (also) just got a new MA for Meebo and Lailah.

I know that everyone has a second MA post-game, they are all subevents but triggered differently iirc. (I think maybe one person's is only second playthrough but I could be remembering wrong).

I just did the Dark Turtlez and explore (a little) the island (post-game).

Should I be doing the island or Alisha's DLC first?

The things I do in Alisha's DLC, do they carry over to my main game?

If you finish Hexen Isle, the final boss is going to be powered up. If you're aiming for the trophy for beating final boss in Intense/Chaos mode, don't finish it.

The last Crucible is in Hexen Isle; there's also a Crucible in Alisha DLC but I'm not sure if that counts for the sidequest.

Stuff you get/did in Alisha DLC stays with you in the main game. It doesn't matter when you do the DLC, but it's a good place to stock some Elixirs or something.

Well, there's nothing more to do after getting Mikleo and Lailah's second MA and completing Hexen Isle as far as postgame goes. Probably fusing everyone's ultimate weapon, but I've only managed Sorey's so far. So much grind.

I just finished Alisha's DLC. It wasn't bad but it kind of opens more holes.

The fox guy is alive and wants to do bad stuff.
Misty Illusion is still around doing her stuff.
Pro-war activists weren't dismantled.

We know that Fox guy does not manage/attempt to kill Sorey while he "sleeps" because we see him wake up. Likewise, he did not kill our Seraph friends since we saw them as well in the "future". Did they have plans for a sequel or additional DLC?

Misty Illusion... I didn't expect her to turn into a good girl, but I didn't really expect her to attack either. She appears to have latched unto Fox guy --- serving him. She probably needs someone to give her a purpose in life... kind of sad that it's that ass.

Anyway, time to complete that Island. I read that we get to unlock Alisha (and Dezel). I grew to like Alisha's combat style. It took me so much time to get used to it. I have to say that the DLC was hard and I had to lower the difficulty (from Hard to moderate). I raised it again against bosses (to hard). Playing strictly Alisha (no armatize) made things so much harder. Naturally, I made an exception against the final battle (wth... I did not see that coming. I thought it was just a random boss) because we had to apparently kill them both at the same time. I was convinced that the final boss of that DLC would be Fox guy, Misty Illusion or some dragon.

I don't know if I want to do a NG+. I'll probably have to wait some time before attempting it on the highest difficulty (haven't unlocked it yet).

Yeah this was definitely the plan initially.

Then people lost their shit with the "despicable capitalist move of promoting Alisha to cash in more bucks with DLC" movement. My conjecture, but I can get behind the dev's mindset for this one.

They probably planned to test the water with DLC episodes since day 1 of Zestiria development, thinking that this is gonna be a rather interesting business plan for the Tales series. Considering that people seems to gobble up extra materials such as side story novels and movies, why don't we instead make a fully playable one? "It's gonna be awesome. We can even make new episode with cliffhanger that can lead to more episodes!"

But nope, they didn't manage to make up for the cost of writing new scenes, modeling extra costumes and environment, recording extra lines, and programming more features since they have to give the DLC out for free because of fan backlash.

Then they go "Shit that didn't go so well, and I had these 20 episodes brainstormed and written already. Oh well, let's just be basic and reveal Berseria. What? We didn't have new graphical engine yet because we've been focused on Zestiria's sub episodes? Damn, let's just use Xillia's engine for the moment and delay the release as long as possible."

I thought she said it's the last time she's helping the fox guy? Like in a "sigh, I want to turn a new leaf, but I'm still bummed since Heldalf died. Oh well, might as well do this shit before going back to my orange plantation field."

Island cleared. I'm not sure I want to go fight the final boss again. Anything to gain from it?

I'm quite sad that Alisha doesn't get to join the party in the post-game dungeon. I don't think it could've hurt.

Satisfaction for beating the hardest boss fight? It can be said that Despot Heldalf on Hard is harder than normal Heldalf on Chaos. He resists all elements, making him unstaggerable while he one-shot everything.

Well, unless you use E-Union 7 (have 7 elemental skill in a row) on every Seraph, that is. Still a b**** to fight.

Anyway, I think it's better if you leave him for New Game+ because then you can take advantage of the grade shop bonus Skill Extension and the reset of battle count so you can spawn equipment with 3x Skill early if you play Chaos right away.

I was really sad to learn that Grade for Grade Shop is only earned through Lord of the Lands level. It's kind of a bummer.

Grade that you get in battle contribute to the corresponding Lord of the Land's grade, which increases Lord of the Land's level, so it's not like it's a waste. But you can also offer items to them to fasten the process.

I rather like this system because the Grade point shows it effects even in first playthrough (with the Lord of the Land's boons). We do get a rather limited amount of max Grade, but the cost for grade shop options you bought will be reduced for subsequent playthrough, so you might still be able to buy out the grade shop.

I read that people suggest having all Lord of the Lands at 12+ or so before New Game+ so that you can get all the necessary options for grinding purposes.

Well, it's not really hard to max them to be honest, just tedious.

Farm Mimic Giant with 15 Drop Bottles a few times (with Pendrago Inn Chilled Tofu in effect), buy all consumables from Dark Turtlez (including Melon Gel and Elixir), then offer them all. 1 trip can give out 1k Grade or so, and I think it's enough to level the Lord of the Land to 12.

New Game+ makes it easier with Double Gald and 30 item limit, so yeah level 12 is a good stop-off point for first playthrough.

While this thread answered some concerns that I had I am still trying to look for sll of the Monoliths. I was able to come across some decent guides but the issue is that finding the exact location of the Monoliths I don't have in order to get Friend Link is a pain. Will I keep my progress for things such as Discoveries, Normins, and Monoliths? Or will I have to search for all of them again?

I assume this is in regard to New Game Plus? If you choose Carry Over Library, you will keep the progress on monoliths, and probably discoveries, I'm not sure.

Same with Normins, you can choose Carry Over Normin. But if you want to get E-Union 10 easily, you can opt to not carry over for the next playthrough. Buy a set of equipment for a character with 10 empty slots distributed among them, then find only the red normins and add their effect to the equipment.
