Discord

So for a while now I've been using Discord after a group of my friends started using it. Discord is a voice and text chat app for gamers that does a lot of what you can get out of IRC, Skype or TeamSpeak. It has it's downsides but they are constantly updating with new features every few weeks. One of the big features that eventually will be coming is an in-game overlay so you can access Discord without having to alt-tab. As of right now, the only thing I miss about Skype compared to Discord is the ability to easily quote someone in the chat. While it has yet to become a problem for me, it also currently doesn't allow you to direct message anyone who isn't in any of the servers you're in. So you can't add people directly to a friend list ala Skype or AIM, but it's always possible they'll add that in as a feature later.

Other than the few things its missing, it's pretty great so far. It even embeds links better than Skype, allowing you to see animated gifs or watch videos directly in the chat.

Two other groups of friends have followed suit recently. I look at the chat servers on my sidebar now and Reservia is the only group of friends I have that doesn't have one. The question is: if we made one, how many of us would even use it? My guess is not many, but I thought I'd at least put the idea out there.
