I'm on Lopressor for my heart

Lopressor, a beta blocker. It turns out there is a problem with my heart. I had/have fast heart beats (palpitations), chest pain, ect. I ask that you guys pray that I'll be all right.

Thank you. I also had/have high blood pressure which this medicine is supposed to help too and its also supposed to prevent heart attacks and strokes so I think I should be ok.

I think the high BP is what was giving me my rapid heartbeats. I don't take caffeine pills anymore so that couldn't be the cause. I occasionally drink soda but that has little caffeine in it. I mainly drink water.

Water is good! Good job giving up on those caffeine pills too.

Thank you Ive been taking in some caffeine lately because I had to stay awake for a while a couple times this week and unfortunately that made my heart race a little bit even with the medicine especially after I wake up from sleep. But no signs of caffeine overdose, really. I think I'm addicted.

Oh yeah, my neighbor died last Friday. He was riding his motorcycle and crashed and hit his head on the pavement. Me and him were good friends and he was a good guy.

I concur with Suikoden and my condolences Sword. I really do care hearing about everything going on with you! You can get through all of this! I've been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep posting or message if you need to talk about anything!

Thanks guys. I am doing a bit better now. I was feeling really bad for a few days and had crippling headaches. It wasn't pleasant at all. But doctors and the hospital can't find anything particularly wrong with me other than mildly high blood pressure and mild palpitations. I gotta quit smoking because I think that's part of my problems but its just so difficult to quit. I should start using my e-cig and slowly reduce the amount of nicotine in the juice over a period of a year or 2 then I can safely and reliably quit. It'd be better than going cold turkey which I can't do anyway. I went 3 days without a smoke and couldn't do it anymore. I just wanna quit right now while I'm still young and before I develop some really bad health problems that will be harder to deal with as I get older.

Hey swordandshield. Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm sorry you weren't feeling well for a bit, and I'm glad you're better. Also, you can quit smoking. It won't be easy but the key is to stay positive. I don't have any first hand experience since I never smoked, but my sister was able to quit after smoking for about 12 years or so. I believe in you!

You can call me Chris, that's my real name or swordandshield is fine. I know I can quit smoking, it just takes a lot of willpower, something I lack to be honest but I know I can succeed if I try hard enough. I tried the gums, patches, and losengers but they didn't do the trick for me. I know e-cigs aren't exactly healthy either but they don't have all the harmful chemicals a real cigarette has. Honestly, breathing in anything other than air and oxygen is harmful lol
