Why does Emil wear a dress?
Why does Marta wear that stupid outfit? Isn't she like 14 or something?
Why can't I control my monsters?
Why can't monsters use items?
Why does Marta completely forget what I told her to do when a monster attacks her?

1. The US/other English speaking countries lack many good voice actors in general.
2. At least he's wearing pants, too. (Unlike Marta!) Is it still a dress if you wear pants under it?

Number 6 is pretty much invalid. That happens in every Tales game so far, so I doubt it's an accident.

2-Haven't you noticed that all the underage girls in the tales series like to be sex objects?

Hmm... that is prety fun. So long as you have some of Marta's spells turned off. Like Enhance Cast. Because she loves to use it on Emil for some reason.

I never found the Enhance Cast spell very useful in other Tales games I've played, so I'll turn it off as soon as she learns it.

Well, in this game it increases magic attack rather than casting speed so it's somewhat useful but not as useful as the other ones where it increases casting speed.

1. Low budget. Though, honestly I didn't mind the voice acting. At first I thought I'd hate it, but I think it's comparable to most Tales voice acting.
2. It's really a long jacket attached to his shirt. I mean, he wears pants and everything. THIS IS ALSO JAPAN. end of discussion.
3. I actually think her outfit is kinda cute. She's fifteen, btw. (see upper case text above for more detail)
4. What would be cooler would be if you could control Tenebrae and have him dish out monster commands as well as fight...but that will never happen.
5. Monsters probably don't understand the concept of "items".
6. AIs are usually pretty dumb. This is not kor's fault alone.

The original characters from ToS 1 made the game for me, and helped me pass through the parts that sucked (basically almost everything mentioned before in this topic). Their actions were more exaggerated than before and were more comical, which I thought felt appropriate, it being a spin-off and all. I had a few good chuckles out of Raine's ruin mode, Regal's company owning and creating everything in the world, Zelos and his ... Zelos'ness, and Presea carrying an Iron Maiden for some reason I can't remember.

It helped me not take the game too seriously, hence, making me enjoy it in the end.

Though I hated when visiting cities, and not being allowed to go into buildings I was CLEARLY allowed to go into in ToS1. That was just lazy programming. They coulda amused me and filled all those pointless rooms and buildings with Wonder Chefs or something. Evil or Very Mad

Also, when did he stop using smoke screens as a means of escape, and instead just spins down directly to Hell? Neutral
