Wolf Children

Well that was uplifting / pleasant / bittersweet / cute / a complex range of emotions I can't properly sum up in a single word.

I liked it.

Heh, I just bought it on blu-ray completely unaware of the film's existence. And I just watched Girlwholeaptthrutyme and summehwarz a few days ago, again, and then I saw this dvd at some shop and was like "shiiiiiit, I like this director. imma buy it". Gonna watch it tonight. Luckily, three people here seem to like it, so, hopefully I will too. If not, THEN YOU'RE ALL LIARS.

I watched this movie tonight. It was pretty intense at times. I guess after watching all those Miyazaki endings I was expecting a less bittersweet ending, but that clearly didn't happen. Laughing

5 Centimeters Per Second is the big one. Unfortunately I've been slacking and there's like 2-3 more movies he's released since that I need to see.

I really want to see The Garden of Words, it's got some amazing rain effects and seems like it involves characters out of Shinkai's usual age range.

The Garden of Words is an eyegasm. Unbelievably good art and animation.
