What did you dream tonight?

We have topics about what we did today (pos/neg/fick), what games we played today, what music we listened to today, what we laughed about today and what anime we've watched recently.

But do we have a topic about what we did while we were sleeping today?
No, not yet.

I've always wanted to be able to recall my dreams more clearly when I woke up, and one theory is that writing them down right after waking up will help with that. Of course, particularly striking dreams are sometimes remembered far into the day, and sometimes they are not... so it is not always necessary to write them down immediately after you wake up.

I was wondering if you would join me! You can write your dreams down whenever you want to, and you don't need to disclose whatever you don't want to. I imagine when starting to write down your dreams, you won't recall much of them if at all anyways. Don't feel ashamed if you can write down just two or three phrases to describe what you remember, or when your dreams make no sense whatsoever. Dreams have a tendency to do that.


I don't think trying to explain the dreams of others without their permission is a good idea inside this topic, but if others feel different about this, let us know.

Yesterday I had a dream in which I realized I was dreaming and that I should remember what was going on in that dream. In fact, the dream was so normal and made so much sense to me that I knew I wouldn't have to even write it down when I woke up because I would still remember all of it.
When I woke up however, that was all I could remember of it.

The location felt wide and sunny and summery, but it was also filled with small round tables and chairs, like a cafe or restaurant in a conservatory or greenhouse, although the colours were mostly yellow and golden and sunshine, not green.

Oh oh oh oh! I remember a really weird dream I had last night!

The setting was definitely a school (I have a lot dreams that take place in schools oddly!) and it was prolly in the late afternoon. In the dream, a bunch of students and me were fleeing about the school to find an area optimal to barricade ourselves in! Yer prolly wonderin' what in the heck we were fleeing from and I shall tell y'all, zombies! Very angry zombies hellbent on eradicating all life and fashion sense! They seemed to despise the color of blue and green on clothes in particular. Now yer prolly wonderin' why they hated clothes of certain colors but quite frankly, not even I know!

Anyway, after awhile we found a small music room or somethin' and we got to work setting up defensive measures. Fer awhile it was real quiet-like and not a simple groan or shuffle to be heard. That was until a lookout further down one end of the hallway warned of an impeding pack of zombies in huge numbers coming our way! Hearts stopped and blood ran cold at the warning and we scrambled back to our room in fear! Fer a short while our barricade against the door stood strong but as the number of zombies pushing on the door increased we could hear the door slowly giving way under their immense force... All seemed lost until quite literally out of nowhere the queen of ice and snow Elsa herself showed up in the hallway behind the group of zombies! Peering through the window on the door everyone was at a loss for words. Heck even the zombies seemed at a loss fer groans!

Just as the ghoulish zombies turned to face her, Elsa raised her hands and large slabs of ice started pushing the group all at once up and away from the door. Of course the zombies didn't like that very much so with renewed mindless rage they started coming at both the door and her again! Thankfully, Her Majesty wanted none of that so she raised large spikes of ice from the ground to halt the unsavory undead! It was then that we realized we were finally safe from our wretched pursuers and we started cheering and came outside to greet our savior. Just as she started talking I was yanked from the world of dreams and back to reality by the sound of practice fire on the river all coming from our local naval base.

I just remember hearing a loud thundering noise accompanied by the shaking of the wall and my window. -_-

Cafe dreams are some of the best imo.

I dreamt that one of my sisters was going to kill me with a knife ;w; Haha. Doesn't make any sense.

I bought 2 pet baby snakes online and they came in, just to realize I didn't remember buying them or had the items to take care of them. It somehow worked out and I had some grown snakes....?

And then by the end of the dream they somehow fused together to become some next chimera fusion ouroboros thingers, destroyed the world, and then I woke up.

^This. The crazy thing is I always have to go back to high school to take a class that I somehow missed. It doesn't matter that I have already graduated college and have a master's degree in math. Also, it is usually a math course that I need to take, which is ironic since I teach math at a college level.

I also want to note that while I read your post Suikiwiden, I imagine Raven was telling the story. I don't know why.

I've been trying to remember what I've dreamt these past two nights, but to no avail! I couldn't recall anything =/

Did anyone ever get nightmares induced because of Goosebumps when they were younger? This episode from the show gave me one when I was 8 and I STILL remember it. D:

Have you ever tried to recall the day's events right before you fall asleep? Most dreams take experiences from during the day and employ them in dreams after all. Even the most insignificant of things!

Nope, I actually never write down any of my dreams!

Though it may not seem like it because of me being so tired lately, when it comes to recalling things I'm oddly very good at it. The earliest memory I can recall that I can place a date to would be Christmas of '90 when I was 10 months old. I had been going through old photos a few months back and came across one I remembered pretty well and when I looked at the date it was taken I was like "Wait, what?".

Essentially, what had happened was that as a youngin' I had turned to look at my grandmother's tv and I become suddenly engrossed with not only the size of the tv but also the pictures on the screen! So within my immense wonderment I crawled towards the tv and plopped my tiny hand upon the screen wanting to touch some person's head! Apparently my excitement was worthy of a picture. o.O;

Tonight I dreamt again.

I dreamt of fantastical archives, libraries filled with more books than could be read in a lifetime in which each day would be a lifetime on its own. I dreamt of students of magic and arcane, traversing them as if they belonged.

I dreamt of archways, arched ceilings and archwells connecting them.

I dreamt of birthdays, of tomorrow and of what I would be doing today.

I dreamt of this evening, when I will go out to eat with my parents.

I dreamt of bookshops and grocery stores, of my office and the city's roads and squares.

I dreamt I lay sleeping in my bed, dreaming of the dreams I just had.

I dreamt I woke up and started my day.

But then I awoke and the dreams fell away.

Last night I had a dream where I was Leonardo and I wad infiltrating one of the hideouts of the foot clan. A couple of people tried to take a picture of me, but I destroyed their cameras. Then I had to scale some ledges to climb up to a higher level. The building I was in was mostly just a structure without walls. I got up to the top floor and there was a competition going on similar to America Ninja Warrior. A crowd of people watched as I swung from chain to chain to complete part of the course. Those people thought I was wearing a costume. Right after I had landed, a group of foot clan members came rushing in and the spectators dispersed. I started to fight the foot when the other turtles and Splinter came in to help. Then I woke up.

That was only one of 3 dreams I had, but it is the only one I can remember.

I had a dream where my sister and I randomly went overseas to Germany. I remember for some weird reason listening old school R & B on the flight over but when we got there I just remember the exhilaration of visiting a whole new country for the first time. She and I went and took pics of random signs and shots of a crowd at a sports gathering who were sitting in such a way that their colors made up their flag.

Even though I just woke up I can't really remember much else (my mind's been evil lately...) so I'm not even sure why I was visiting Germany of all places. It was a fun dream though!

Oh hey I forgot this thread existed. I suppose that's because dreams are a rare occurrence for me.

A while ago I dreamt my dad drove the car into a lake/river/body of water. There was no shallow shoreline, just a straight drop into deep water. I only remember desperately trying to get the door open so I could escape and the slow, sinking (pun not intended) realization that if I made any attempt to get my dad out alive before securing my own safety I would only doom us both - then I snapped awake.

The only dream it seems like I've even had in ages and it was a nightmare bad enough that I still remember the details (of how it ended) at least a month later. Figures.

A couple of nights ago I had my first dream in weeks.

I dreamt that I had died and that I was now a ghost. I couldn't communicate with anyone anymore, except through an interpreter ( a close friend of my mother ).

It was weird and a bit scary, but I can't recall more than that.

I was all afloat and greyish transparent though.

Woke up from a dream I just had not too long ago. In it I was with a bunch of people floating amongst one another in a channel of water. The channel was rather large so there was a good number of people there and we were all in enclosed in a floating net-like thing that kept everyone together. It was a net that went from one side of the shore to the other effectively blocking the channel. No one was trapped and freaked out but rather the opposite where everyone was enclosed together just hanging out and having fun.

I was on a wooden raft thingiemajig reaching for things and the reason I was is lost to me. Buuuut I remember whilst I was doing my ephemeral duty that some random woman sunbathing on a floatable chair nearby kept sitting up when my back was turned and reaching over trying to tip my raft! She successfully got away with it once but I decided to let her get comfy and go back to sunbathing when I waded closer to her putting all my weight on one end of her chair and she tipped right over! The satisfaction at returning the favor to this random float tipper was immense and I remember laughing hard at her! She was a total bitchasaurus, y'all!

Well anyway not long after that 'lil episode I took notice of two teenage girls trying to fish and doing so in a very absurd manner. Me being the spontaneous total fishing expert that I was in that dream went over to them to offer some words of advice! In my previous observation of them I took note that they kept casting their rod overhead instead from the side. I asked 'em where they were from and they said some landlocked region of Pennsylvania and had zero experience fishing! I also made a rather random comment on what their lineages of all things most likely was. Because PA has an old association with Dutch colonists I figured they had Dutch in 'em. (I remember the most random things from history class...) But anyway they said yes they indeed had such a lineage! I had an epic moment of feeling awesome before my mind shot right back to their fishing dilemma! So I told them of the proper way to hold a rod and how to successfully cast a line. They thanked me for my advice but right before I turned to go back to whatever I was doing before I told them of what kind of fish to expect in a channel that connects a creek and a bay. It was then that I woke up and found myself with the urge to fish!


There was two other dreams I had earlier but all I can recall from those was that one was a dream bordering on nightmare about zombies and in the other I was watching random YouTube videos.

I mean, I don't have one and don't desire any.

Ok so like this last dream I had I was totally trippin' hard.

Everything started out sorta normal with everything taking place in a rather huge domed city. Things went down south quicccck though! What was one minute a busy city quickly became a city of ruins when the Four Symbols of China and (what I presume) a furless giant hamster came outta nowhere demolishing everything! The culprits behind the most devastation were both the Serpent and the Hamster. The citizens and myself greatly feared these menacing beings and soon we began living out meager existences amongst the ruins in total fear. As the days passed into months it wasn't uncommon for a group of survivors to be caught out in the open scavenging to be spotted by our enemies and be annihilated! It was those happenings that always had us alert and on our toes. Mercy was a foreign concept to them...

After what felt like a kajillion years I remember finding myself on the outskirts of town after a long journey. Of all things I came across one of my favorite youtubers who, like me, was a survivor! We spoke of news that the other most likely hadn't heard yet (news travels slow in situations like that) and my favorite youtuber-gone-survivor pointed to something far ahead that was still in view. What I saw when I turned my head was very disheartening; I was looking at a gigantic hole in the wall of the dome with nothing but a sea of sand on the outside. Before I could even open my mouth the survivor confirmed my fears. The hole was indeed created by those vile, unmerciful invaders and what was once a green verdent environment had turned desolate by those invaders! Unfortunately, I never did find out why they caused the havok they did because last I remember I felt a surge of emotion and then...nothing!

Despite the bleak dream I had, I couldn't help but laugh at how random everything was when I woke up. xD

Alllllllllllllright I've got a good one! :D

This morning while I was on the very edge between waking and dreaming, I was reliving one of my most painful memories. I betrayed a girl's trust during a school trip and she was never going to forgive me for it (and we did grow distant from that point onward but in hindsight she did give me a disproportionate amount of crap because of it, but alas, we were both young and the follies of youth and all that, also, I probably genuinely hurt her feelings).

Just as I was profusely apologizing to her and trying to convey my anguish (and dreading at the same time that I had to live through this memory yet again) a lean, tall and pretty handsome slightly older man with beaming golden hair drop-kicked himself into my dream and her out of it.

He struck a victory pose, legs apart and firmly planted into the ground, the very image of confidence. He raised his thumb with his left arm stretched out towards me and said:

"And you are (despite this, despite everything) still okay the way you are!"

Which is when I woke up.

I've been talking with a doctor about self-acceptance and stuff (because seriously, my teachers in both high school and grade school basically imprinted in my brain that nothing is ever good enough, because there's always room for improvement, what on earth). Anyway, if this is the result of that treatment, I'm all for continuing this xD
This was an amazing way to wake up.

Until last week I usually dreamt of school. The night before my accounting exam I dreamt of debits and credits for example haha. Maybe that's why I did so well on that exam...

Now than I'm in a relationship I tend to dream about that
