| ...couldn't they have saved Abyssion for DotNW instead? I bet his ambitions tie in quite nicely with the storyline about Ratatosk. If you wanna plunge the world into eternal darkness, then you'd want to open the door to Niflheim. Add Richter and the Vanguard to that and you'd have a fairly good story if I do say so myself. | |

Don't you think I know that? This is just a thread to let our imagination run free, be it a sidequest boss or not. I peronally feel he should have been more than 'just a sidequest superboss'

| Well it's not an enhanced remake that actually alters the storyline, like Tales of Vesperia PS3. | |

| But Tales of Vesperia for PS3 is not an enhanced remake nor change the storyline except for adding Patty on some dialogues and skits. | |

To me adding Patty to the party is altering the storyline, but of course it's not a dramatic change but it's significant enough.

Yeah, the story was pretty much set in stone since the GC version. Altering it would cause confusion. But back when they were still working on the first Tales of Symphonia, the storywriters didn't expect that there would be a sequel 5 years later.

| Abyssion would have been more thematically appropriate to Dawn, with its greater emphasis on how the natural and demon worlds coexist, but he's ultimately so one note I really don't know what Dawn's greater demonology could have done for him. He would have been a more entertaining secret boss than Album, though.
That said, we can all postulate on why demonically-empowered folks have red hair, since I choose to ignore Namco's choice to turn him into a Super Saiyan in the PS3 version (was it just the PS3 version?)

| Historically, redheads have always been associated with demons.
Zelos is an especially bad example. The kind of demon that lusts after the virtue of innocent women.

| Why would they have held him off for a sequel they never planned on making for a console that didn't exist yet? | |
