It's gotta be a far cry from the original though. The only reason people liked the original was because it was a 90s OVA, it had tons of gore and explicit sex (you could easily mistake it for a hentai of the time.) If you search for GIFs of Mezzo Forte, the spiritual sequel (same universe) you'll understand.

BFT 13: Sekai just pulled off a Stahn. Scratch that, he just pulled off a Stahn + Domon. The Tomokazu Seki is strong with Sekai.

Love this episode. Fumina getting jealous and both Ral and Yuuma getting itchy butts are awesome.

HADOU MEP- oh not. And Shouourekka? Good job Sekai, nothing wrong with being more Seki. Your Build Burning probably need to be upgraded though, because it obviously can't contain both the Domon and Stahn in one frame.

Transient Gundam is way too awesome looking. Definitely going to buy that Gunpla. I love the attention 00 suits are getting, they certainly fit more with the whole 'particles' thing.

Aldnoah Zero: I'm sorry, not a single thing they did in order to allow the series to continue is believable in the slightest. I was wondering how the writers were going to get themselves out of the massive hole they dug for themselves, and their solution is laughable.

Watched the first episode of Assassination Classroom, and all I could think during the opening was:

"Sensei! May I go to the bathroom?"

Not actually unbelievable that Inaho would survive because he was kneeling when shot, and thus the bullet travels downward, narrowly missing his brain. And his sister is on board, so he can get blood transfusion no problem. That blood spatter of Seylum activating Aldnoah is quite the asspull, but it's okay; they did say the blood of Vers emperor is needed to activate Aldnoah, but I didn't expect it to be so literal.

About time they reuse the amulet. Been foreshadowed enough already, what's with them animating the amulet ad nauseum, literally screaming "HEY YOU SEE THIS AMULET? NO? WELL LET'S SHOW ANOTHER QUICK SHOT OF IT! REMEMBER IT? WELL HERE'S ANOTHER JUST FOR THE SAKE OF THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS ALMIGHTY AMULET OF DECEPTION". Screw you director.

Anyone's watching Death Parade? So who exactly was at fault here?

From the flashback, it's apparent that the wife did cheat on him with different man. After they married nonetheless, seeing as she was wearing her wedding ring. But in the credit, there is actually a reservation for Machida Yuuki (just guessing the Machida part because I can only read Yuuki from the Hiragana).

Does that mean, Matchy is indeed Machida Yuuki, but the husband becomes bitter after the rumour and started treating the wife coldly. Which in turn, making the wife sad and he seeks consolation from another man (and in the flashback scene on the bed, she did seem like she regretted it).

And what exactly is the better outcome? Reincarnation or Void?

Because in Hinduism, Moksha is viewed as the better outcome as it liberates one from Samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth. So does that mean the wife, having regretted and accepted her sins after her death is freed from the cycle, while the husband is still stuck in the cycle of rebirth?


Wow I love this series. NTR is still fucking disturbing, and the guy being "I don't want to ruin this marriage" pansy doesn't help. Should have punched the son of a b**** in the face and make the wife his woman again in flesh and soul.

I was laughing SO HARD at nearly-dead, UNCONSCIOUS Inaho suddenly having the power of Aldnoah. Suspension of disbelief went STRAIGHT out the window. Sure, I could excuse Inaho somehow surviving because y'know, this is future-Earth with better medicine and technology, so "we can rebuild him!" is believable. But the writers dug themselves a MASSIVE hole in that the Aldnoah drive was disabled and unless they could get that running again Inaho was toast. Their solution was to say "f*** it!" and give Inaho the power of Aldnoah - be it from the blood splatter or from the kiss. But uh... What happened when the princess was strangled until she was unconscious and near death, just like Inaho? The Aldnoah drive DEACTIVATED.

Slaine hates Inaho/Terran because he thinks they were using the Princess (first clash between Inaho and Slaine). Then, Slaine shoots Inaho and spare the one who shot the princess.

Now, Slaine is teaming up with people who are using the Princess (or the image of the Princess) to achieve their ambitions.

Come to think of it, the latter might have been a stronger reason. And it explained the reason why Slaine have Aldnoah power. Slaine also received CPR from the princess a long time ago, and so he already had the factor to power up Cruhteo's Kataphrakt when he did so.

Uhh, an argument that I can think of about the Aldnoah drive activating even when Inaho is unconscious is, in the case of Seylum, her heart was stopped for a minute or two, while Inaho is alive, albeit only unconscious because of the blood loss. But yeah, that was way too reaching and self-justified.

I'd like to think that Inaho's just so badass he can control mech when sleeping.

Every time Aldnoah tries to be scientifically accurate but ends up totally wrong makes me cringe. The fight was cool and the method was cool but goddamn was it a load of crap. "Entropy dilution" to "saps kinetic energy"? Nope. "Saps kinetic energy" to "makes low temperature", but forgetting about "sapping kinetic energy" in all instances besides "lol it's cold"? Superconducting whatever material? Nope (I can't even tell how they were trying to apply Meissner). Guys get your physics straight ffs.

Coming from a non-science student, it was mindblowing. Probably won't be as interesting if it's just explained as 'magic' or 'future technology that is incomprehensible with current human minds'.

I'm more baffled as to why the Kataphrakt have no other armaments. Seriously, someone install a pea shooter or something.

Also to say nothing about the angle argument, getting shot in the eye is WORSE than through the skull. Especially at that range, it's going through your super squishy eye, through your super squishy brain, and possibly create its own exit through the back of your skull. Only Plot Armor can save you.

Catmandhu, based on what you're saying about Death Parade, you might enjoy a series called Bartender. It obviously won't have that seriousness to it, but it's got a similar theme of people overcoming or accepting their problems.


BTW you guys sure seem to like Aldnoah, but I get the impression that it's continuing the past year or so's trend of the big-name animes having a bunch of NTR and/or rape and stuff. Is that the case here?

I started reading Bartender manga quite a while before, but there wasn't much chapter translated that time. Might go back to reading it since you reminded me of it.


Of Aldnoah, rather than a Netorare, it's more of a Netori.

But who wouldn't fall for the mighty prowess of Godnaho (and recently, Terminaho), the only capable soldier of the entire Terran race. Makes you wonder how the hell did Terran even manage to hold the Martian off during the 19 months absence of the almighty Orange.

If you plan on watching it, the order is Right of Left (prequel) > Dead Aggressor > Heaven and Earth > Exodus.

So in case you guys missed it, here's what I gather from the latest Aldnoah Zero:

1) Aldnoah power can be passed to Terrans via a kiss. (Well that's cliche.)

2) It only seems to be good for one activation before needing a 'recharge' (for lack of a better word).
