Gate JSDF and Overlord in one season? Best season ever.

I'll probably need some time to get use to Gate's character design after manga (Itami looks pointlessly serious and Rory best loli is too cutesy for my taste). But who cares. Best isekai LN ever. Ride of the Valkyries need to be reenacted the same way as Apocalypse Now.

Watched Overlord's PV and I have to say, their depiction of Great Tomb of Nazarick majestically exceeded my puny imagination. I imagined Demiurge to be more muscular while the butler Sebas to be less muscular though, not that there's anything wrong with it! Really looking forward to this, especially the Albedo scenes.

Rokka no Yuusha sounds pretty similar to Konjiki no Word Master but less awesome because MC is not gourmet bastard Hiiro. And I'm seriously sick of ostracized summoned Yuusha character (it's seriously depressing, looking at you Shieldbro, and probably Hajime Nagumo, but mostly the Naofumi) because it takes too long for them to achieve justice (if any). Still gonna try it, I'm a sucker for Alternate World/Summoning/Reincarnation story.

I'll probably start watching Prisma Ilya only when Drei comes out  for the best emiya. Do you have enough resolve, champion of justice?

Hmm, kinda still weirded out by Gate's character design being all cute and jailbait, especially when their first plan to repay people is by fucking selling their body. Worst offender is Princess Pina Colada, which should've been quite a bitchy princess. Not in a hot way. The JSDF's design is rather great though, well aside from Itami who seems a whole lot more badass than the lovable fucking pain in the ass. Not necessarily a bad thing though.

The anime kinda suffers from the lack of blood and gore, not complaining because I'd rather have offscreen violence than black screen every other 2 seconds.

Overall, I like the pacing of first episode; it fleshes out the beginning part of the story. We get to see more on the JSDF side such as Kurata's (almost)backstory and the taciturn Tomita (I hope it's Tomita). The bill for the exploration of the other side of the gate taking some time to be passed is also rather realistic; better than the manga timeskipping all the details with simple voice of god.

I'm also getting rather interested with Ranpo Kitan - Game of Laplace. Well, I haven't watched/read mystery/detective story in quite some time, so this is kinda intriguing.


EDIT: Damn, I'm loving the MC of Rokka no Yuusha. Guy is an optimistic bastard who don't give a shit about anything. His way of fighting seems to be to do whatever you can do, however malicious and despicable, to win; fitting for the world's strongest.

I was really worried when I read the summary because of the shunned hero vibe, but if Adlet kept being himself, I'm sure he won't give a f*** about other's opinion.

EDIT EDIT: Charlotte's MC is amazing. I love his dumb monologues and once per minute evil smirk.

EDIT CUBIC: Oooh, Clasroom Crisis seems to be interesting, too. Kuudere Ace Pilot is kinda meh, but I kinda liked that they're emphasizing the financial part of a mecha developer. I'm always interested with how the mechanics'/company's reaction when the pilot nonchalantly damage their machines and purge parts away like they have billions of funds at disposal (CG's Lloyd made a funny despair reaction, so there's that).


Overlord's shaping up to be fun too, despite the CGs; I'm not really opposed to CG in anime, so my words might not amount to much. Ainz/Momonga's shift of tone between normal person and charismatic god who governs death is really fitting, and I approve of yandere Albedo hogging the ED. From the OP, it seems that this season will cover until the third volume.


Whoa, didn't know Aquarion Logos is a sequel to Evol. I'm glad that I decided to try the first episode; quite a pleasant surprise despite Evol being somewhat mediocre.

The home media release is pretty much printing money so a 2nd season will probably happen at some point. Now if only the final episode would actually air...

I was really surprised by Snow White with the Red Hair. Some people on my twitter were raving about it so I checked out the first episode. I'm normally not into shoujo but this show is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S and it has fun characters so I'm giving it a shot.

So... I was watching Gakkou Gurashi! with my brother (he put it on). He kept telling me there's Zombies in it and that's why he downloaded it. It pretty much looked like a Slice of Life anime. My mom was passing by and said "this is for 5 years old kids".

I was like "where are the zombies?". What the hell? Zombies? Where?

So yeah, already off in a good start. They ran out of budget from Namco to get Go Shiina's music probably.

I knew he was going to be hot-blooded and everything but to destroy an anti-aragami wall?! But yeah, not really liking Lenka. The God Eater MC was reckless and all but Lenka is an exaggeration.

I liked that new version of God and Man, though. And of course, the Defense Unit appeared! For a brief moment anyway but I don't care, it's the Defense Unit!

Gatchaman Crowds: Insight is shaping up to be a really nice follow-up to the first season. Rokka no Yuusha is interesting, but the production values are a little inconsistent. Chaos Dragon is...zzzzz.

Overlord looks like a fun anime. Hopefully, those girls are also strong individual that are not helpless without their master overlord.

I love how dorkier and full of misunderstandings the casts of Nazarick are in the anime, something that I didn't really get much when reading the LN translation. Probably because of hearing Ainz's monologue that sounds completely opposite of his outward voice.
