Do you think we'll get a second season? I certainly hope so...

I've only seen the Abridged episode 1 so far.

But I'm loving every second of it.

It's a fantastic Anime and you should watch it

To be entirely honest the whole "eating humans alive" thing kind of puts me off.

From what I've seen of the actual anime and manga, I feel the Abridged Version is a little more discrete, though it could be coincidental.

Not a huge fan of Shingeki tbh

Though I'm sure it'll get a S2 when the manga gets, well, more chapters.

Tbh, the manga has more than enough chapters for a season 2 by now. Especially if they do what they did in season 1 and give the sidecharacters like Jean even more scenes and development. (yes, I wanna see Jean bitch about Marco some more)

I think the chances of there not being a second season are rather slim ;)

Shingeki is fricking everywhere in Japan, you can't leave your home without encountering at least one Shingeki-related thing, it'd really surprise me if we don't get a second season soon. Though they might wait to give the manga even more of a head up so the wait between S2 and S3 isn't too long...

By the way, I'm super excited for the new OVA. April 9th is the current release date, but if I remember correctly, Isle's Notebook was pushed back too. It's gonna be about the 104th trainee corps, so I can only foresee shenanigans!

The fact that we're getting another OVA makes me think we aren't getting a second season anytime soon. But I'm looking forward to it, of course.

The OVAs are being produced as bonuses for the manga volumes, though. I'm not sure if that counts as being in the same sort of production line as the actual series when it comes to time restraints, resources and budget. I certainly hope not. The OVAs are great, but if producing them keeps the crew too busy to produce actual episodes, I'd rather have the series continue.

It's probably so the fans don't forget the anime exists and keep their interest in a second season. Maybe.

Honest Feelings: I got less interested with the anime when everything on the internet was all about Attack on Titan (I wanna hear a 4Kids theme song version!). My interest died when everyone started shipping LeviXPetra, just because of that one misunderstood line. Seriously.

Call me a hipster, but I think its fame are positive and negative, since it does show how anime can still have serious stories. But at the same time, its popularity made Isayama change his planned ending of the manga...

I still read the manga though, since it's still interesting.

Still it had one of the best animation I've seen so far in recent years (when it's not full of anime stills).

New chapter was very.... interesting. Some questions were answered at least!

I just marathoned this last night. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either. Debating whether to continue reading it or not. Where does the anime leave off anyway?

Just watched the first 10 episodes of it and I'm freakin' loving it. The animation is pretty topnotch and the music is so badass. (Srsly, dat intro.) I can totally see why some people would be put off with it though; it's very bloody and characters drop like flies. Definitely not for everyone...

For me, I think the selling point are the characters. Eren's real impulsive but at the same time, his physical prowess isn't as good as some of the other members from the 104th squad; except in

. Which imo, is a nice change of pace. Mikasa is prolly my favorite character out of em. I mean seriously, she kicks ass! I can see why Sunny had her as his avatar back on the older forums. When I first saw Jean, I immediately figured he'd be that annoying prick buuuut my opinion on him changed drastically during the Trost arc. He really stepped up to the plate when stuff got real bad.

I know I'm only 10 episodes in, but I'm really liking what I've seen so far. :3 So thankful Sliv showed me the abridged version.

Also, I think I read somewhere that season 2 wouldn't be out till like 2015? I hope that's wrong. :/

Don't expect a season 2 for a while, though 2015-2016 seems like reasonable if it were to happen.
