| Remember "The Golden Gaffe" or whatever it was called in Awakening so you could grind Gold? That's the money one I was talking about since you don't get a lot of money during the main campaign in Conquest. | |

| I think the DLC is good. It at least makes Conquest more playable for me because I'm weak, and the EXP gives me enough edge to boost my chances of clearing the map. And I can finally level up Mozu to see what's the huge deal with her instead of being one shotted by nearly everything.
Seconding Txn, yeah, holy shit I'm poor, need that money DLC fast. I have 4 units in level 20 in need of Master Seals and I'm broke.
Also, there is a DLC that has actual storyline shedding lights a bit about a certain three characters in Nohr. I'm a huge Awakening tool so I'm really looking forward to that. Their support dialogues are just too baiting.
And thanks Txn, I learned about that the hard way; I Heart Sealed Corrin when he's level 20 and was in despair when I saw the alternate base class is also at level 20. Good to know there's a Seal to raise the level cap, seriously need that money DLC asap.
Anyway, another question. Does Aether (Great Lord) and Charm (Lodestar) inheritable by children? I'm really at a loss to pass what skills to Kanna and Shigure. (yeah yeah corrin azura unimaginative pairing, but after that A Support dialogue, it's just not right otherwise)
Edit: oh Vanguard Brand is unlimited (hence everyone can Aether), so should I pass other Great Lord's skill instead? Assuming they are passable of course.
EDIT2: Well, f***. Great Lord and Lodestar's skills aren't inheritable. Well, there's still the DLC for Vanguard Brand and even Aether skill scroll I guess, but dammit I wasted like several hours grinding Corrin and Azura to level 35. And I don't have Heart Seal to change class now. fml.

| Is there an explanation of the classes and how they work as you play through the game? I am not new to the series, so I know that some characters can class up while others can't, but I have no idea how the Heart Seal thing works.
I married Corrin to Hana and just played around with changing him to the Samurai class, but I didn't save it. Corrin was about level 14 with Hana at level 12 - 13. Should I wait? Can Corrin still change into a dragon if he changes class? Can Corrin or a samurai class up? If I just need to play around with multiple saves I can do that.

| Class affects what you can equip, so changing into Samurai (which can't equip the dragon orb) will make you unable to change into dragon.
Most characters initially have two base classes or four promoted classes. For example, Mozu has Villager (promoted into Master of Arms or Merchant) and Archer (promoted into Sniper or Kinshi Knight). If you use Heart Seal when unpromoted, you can access only Archer and Villager, but if you use it when promoted, you can change into either of the four.
For the benefit of changing classes, I guess the skills from other class tree (and probably different stat growth, i dunno never bothered with that much). Like, Mozu gets Life or Death (damage+10,damage received+10) from Master of Arms, and she also gets Spendthrift (use gold bar, damage+10, damage received-10), so if you reclass to get both skills, it's easily +20 damage with no side effect. Add in Bowfaire (damage+5) from Sniper...
Holy shit now I know why Mozu is a huge deal. +25 damage really? With Aptitude nonetheless?
Anyway yeah. All base classes can class up, Samurai also, yeah. But for most characters, I say it's better to wait until the base class is level 20 before promoting. That way you can have maximum stat growths because promoted class is treated as level 20, so if you use Master Seal when your character is level 10, you lose out on 10 stat ups. Heart Seal just changes your class, so you don't really lose out on anything.
For reference, base classes gain new skills at level 1 and 10, promoted classes gain skills at level 5 and 15. If your Corrin class change at level 14, he already have both Skills he's going to get from Nohr Prince class and you will get Samurai's Skills at level 15 and 16.
But when you use Master Seal, you'll only class up to Samurai tree (into Swordmaster or Master of Arms). Which is rather good actually. You can get Astra and Swordfaire first from Swordmaster, then reclass back into Hoshido Noble for Hoshidan Unity, and start triggering Astra/Dragon Fang every other turn.
Now another important point of Class change and Skills is when you recruit your children character. Your children will inherit the father and mother's classes. The children will also inherit the last Skill in the parent's slot if applicable, so if you want to pass some badass Skill or Skills that the children can't get normally, put it there.
For example, a female children can't get Gentilhomme and male children can't get Demoiselle. So have the father of female child put Gentilhomme in the last skill slot and the mother of male child, Demoiselle. Then you will have two ultimate support units.

| Ghastly Gold came out aaaaand I am 80k richer in one try. bye bye 4x profiteer midori, you're useless now.
brb splurging on eternal seals
Also, there is a distinct lack of castles with Arthur and Peri that I'm still stalling on recruiting Percy. I should probably just recruit him, but I feel somewhat of a waste if I don't pass rare skills to a child when recruiting him. iunno just some weird principle I have.
So if anyone has Arthur or Peri with Skills beside their default classes', can you share your Castle Address please? Preferably Skills of Hoshidan's classes like the "-faire" skills (e.g; Lancefaire) or, well, Astra at least.

| Not having internet for days sure sucks. Also, the money grind dlc is ridiculous.
Sorry, I'm not using Arthur but I can grind him with the Boo Camp dlc if you want.

| Thanks but I kinda got lucky and already met a Renewal and Countermagic Arthur, as well as Swordfaire and Replicate Peri. I really didn't know why I haven't used Peri much from the start, but with Swordfaire and Replicate, she's really awesome. Well, Replicate is awesome nuff said. Although, I'm still interested if you have uncommon Arthur/Peri/Keaton skills. Would probably make my Revelation run more interesting. Birthright is kinda boring to be honest. | |

| Well, I have Keaton with both Pavise and Aegis that's also married to my avatar so I can also get him Seal Speed, Seal Defense and Quixotic (TOO MUCH GRIND since I'm in chapter 17). As for Arthur, I got him Renewal via castle. Now, if I could get him Lifetaker for HP shenanigans with the Berserker Axe/Club... | |

| Arthur x Nyx then. Too bad I've already paired with with Peri, I don't know why. Anyway, I'm jumping straight into Revelation because Birthright is not engaging enough, and I'm kinda torn for the moment because Corrin x Azura will always result in one child being unborn. With the ending of Conquest, I kinda hoped I would reunite the two because it's supposed to be the true storyline, right? Damnit. edit: okay i read some spoiler bit - Spoiler:
and azura is corrin's cousin. i guess it's okay to abandon love ship and board platonic familial ship instead. technically, it's still safe, third-degree relative rule or something, but i'd take familial bond over love anytime.

| Mozu is approaching Level 20 Villager pretty soon, what class should I make her? A Youtuber I watch likes to make her a Dread Fighter, but I'm not sure. | |

| I reclassed her as an archer as soon as I could since my only bow user at the time was Niles. Unrelated but, I really like Charlotte. | |

| Master of Arms gets Life and Death (+10 damage to both side) while Merchant gets Spendthrift (Use Gold Bar for +10 damage dealt, -10 damage received).
Both are level 15's skill though, so it's better to change her to Archer (then Sniper because Bowfaire) to build up her Bow proficiency first. Then she can reclass back to the two classes above, then probably Kinshi Knight as final class because mobility.
She be unstoppable jet fighter with +25 damage (Life and Death, Spendthrift, Bowfaire). Add in Galeforce(probably) then she can murder and run with relative ease, add in Replicate for double the fun.
Though for consistency of damage, Profiteer from Merchant can help with producing Gold Bar.
btw, wtf oni savage hayato
EDIT: Saizo-Beruka C Support dialogue is so awesome I'm shipping them

| Man, that Shiro Paralogue is brutal. 33 enemies with Silver-tier weapons. Most of my characters have either low Res or low Defense so its not easy. I need to try using Rescue apparently. | |

| I think it's difficult only if you do the paralogue way later in the game. I heard people complaining about it too, but Shiro is pretty on par with the attackers during my playthrough, so I didn't mind him much and only cast Physic on him once or twice.
Mind you that my Corrin and Azura pretty much solo kill stuff and had Gale Force. And Replicate.

| So I finally got to chapter 20 in Conquest and I'm starting to know how to work around these wind streams.
If last chapter was any indication (thank you Beastbane), I think I fucked up when I married Keaton since both, Velouria and Kana, are weak to Wyrmslayer AND Beastkiller weapons.

| Yep. Beast and dragon weaknesses are now part of your character and not your class. I know this because my Basara Kana was weak to Wyrmslayers.
On the other hand, now I'm curious if Beastbane can activate while in dragon form.

| Last week I finally finished Conquest and now I'm in the Revelation path, jesus christ, I vastly prefer Conquest despite it's stupid story. Where's my enemies with weird skills like the archers with Counter, or even the poison strike + savage blow ninjas? Anyway, I married Saizo so I can pass down Poison Strike to my Kana while transfering some of his skills from Conquest. Mostly, Grisly Wound, Savage Blow and Draconic Hex | |

| Revelation is such a pain to get through after your first playthrough due it's shitty maps. Could do without Mr. Fuga's Wild Ride & Snow Shoveling With Zola. But hey, my 'lil dodging cinnamon roll is coming along nicely. :3 That being said if any of you are looking for a certain skill feel free to make requests. | |
