Are you saying that ironically or is it some kind of sleeper hit?

| Final Fantasy Type-0 was actually pretty great, you can tell the gameplay was originally for a handheld but it's a unique experience. Story is odd but nothing special and nothing bad.
Tomb Raider if you never played it on PS3, and the sequel comes out soon.

| It's not contrived since they barely matter, they're just too stupid to understand that Kat couldn't have used gravity powers at that point to save the house, they wouldn't accept her circumstances as an excuse. They are very cartoony simpletons and they appear a couple times with the same lack of understanding. | |

| Yeah but it still feels like it's going to be part of this bigger Men of Steel-ish thing where it's like "Oh, you put yourself in harm's way to save my useless life? WELL I CAN'T EXPLAIN YOUR POWERS SO I HATE YOU." | |

| Final Fantasy Type-0 isn't exactly panning out, so if you didn't get it, maybe keep it that way.
When will references to Man of Steel's plotline ever stop being funny, probably never

| I've read a lot of bad things about Type-0's endgame that makes me not want to play it. | |

Plot-wise or game design-wise?

| Both. - Spoiler:
The game is about these warring nations trying to protect their crystals. Each one grants a special power to that nation. The Apocalypse will occur if one nation controls them all. The game decides to pull a supernatural twist out of left field to make this happen, and then you get a lame final dungeon with a bunch of lame gimmicks and a new enemy that has to be killed a certain way. There's also the endings that won't make much sense if you don't read all the codex entries and complete NG+ (which introduces a bunch of new things). Basically the L'CIE's gift immortality gives humanity a false sense of power, and facing their mortality is the right thing to do or else they have an endless cycle of death. Then the NG+ ending gets rid of the crystals so all the fighting and death never happens in the first place.

| I upgraded to a PS4 Pro. The OS is noticeably more responsive than it was with the original. I haven't had a lot of time to mess around with it but I did try out MWR and it does look noticeably better.
I need to reinstall Ratchet & Clank and the Last of Us because I know those two really take advantage of the stronger hardware.

| I got something that's even cooler than a PS4 Pro.
Yooka-Laylee. | |

| It's a lot like Banjo and a little bit like Kazooie.
Honestly the biggest complaint I've seen for it is it plays *too* much like an authentic mid-90s cartoon platformer. It's solid if that's all you're looking for (i.e. me), but everyone wants 3rd person cover mechanics and Sonic homing attacks shoved into their retro games these days. It's not another Mighty No. 9 situation.

| That's good to hear! I was honestly hoping to replay my PS1 Spyro game I had such a hankering for old-school platformer, a new experience is very welcome. And that Crash Bandicoot Remaster is coming out, never played the original, but people like it for some reason. His design never sat well with me, but seems fun
So much great stuff came out this year, I won't even mind if 2018 is a little dry, will give me a chance to catch up

| I kinda got that impression from a lot of the negative feedback, especially Dunkey's video since the footage never did a great job of backing up his complaints. I'm still gonna wait for some of the patches to come out though before I pick it up. | |
