Best Co-op Tales Games

Okay so I actually got my friend into the Tales series like last month and so far we've beaten Abyss, Symphonia, Dawn of the New World, and we're working on Tales of Graces right now. I know the last of co-op games at our disposal but I dont really know which ones are fun for a co-op experience. I mean my favorite game in the series is tales of legendia but we all know why we can't play that together.

So what do you all think? So far I really like what Graces is giving me in terms of co-op battle but I want to know any of your experiences or if you have any suggestions for me.

Most of the games are good for that.

I'd say probably Xillia or Xillia 2, the only qualms I've heard about them are that you can't link controlled characters together, I'm not sure how the switching out party members works in co-op though, if someone else could inform that'd be great!
