| How do you free run in the original Symphonia for the PS3 chronicles version. | |

| You don't. They couldn't be assed to add it in, not even in their precious PS3 remaster. (...Yeah, okay, I'm still bitter about that) | |

| It drove me up the wall. I kept trying in reflex only to go "Oh right, only AI characters are allowed to roam beyond the linear motion."
Seriously, if you're going to make a battlefield three-dimensional, why is the main playable character not allowed to use it to its fullest potential? Why only players 2, 3 and 4? It makes so very little sense. And again, considering it was already 3D to begin with, why not tweak the remaster just a bit to have proper Free Run?

| Ahahahahahahaha. How far we've come. No, you can't, only enemies can. Supposedly Namco implemented it at the end of development, then realized that had not built enemy AI with means to deal with it and the game would be cake. Something Abyss seemed to have given some merit to. | |

| Yeah I'm really not sure why this is an issue, the game was never designed around the concept of free run. If this were a remake, sure, I'd expect a new battle system, but this is a remaster. The only new pieces of content are purely visual or aural. | |

| To be honest, I always enjoyed the lack of free run more than having it there.
was always more fun that way.

| Lack of free run isn't so fun when the edge of Healing Circle is right freaking there and you're not able to get some of it due to Lloyd being unable to simply take a single step off line.
That said, considering this was port, no one should've really expected any sort of big updates to the system, battle or otherwise.

| Symphonia with Free Run without any balancing done will be cake.
And usually, I prefer the titles without free run gameplay-wise. Exception being Abyss and Vesperia.

| Switch targets.
It's a crude way of freerunning and requires clever enemy baiting and positioning, but it's a lot of fun.
