If you had free reign....

Basically, if you had a free reign over the produce Tales-wise of Bamco for a couple years, what would you put into production? Remakes, Revisions, new Games, themes, whatever floats your boat. We had a similar topic on TSF i believe but its been at least a year now uwu

Feel free to go more indepth and discuss the possibilities with everyone!

Personally:

Tales of Legendia Remaster (PS4 and XBONE[since everyone seems to be going both this coming gen]): HD models, all unused mystic artes, possibly adding in some of the cut party members like the twins and the Oresoren hero.

Tales of Phantasia R (PS Vita): Full 3D models, Londie still present, mandatory Suzu, some scene reworking, added sidequests, new battle system, preservation of all that's already there though.

Tales of 16: Of course the next production after Zestie, I'm not very particular of what I want to see, Zestie is giving me exactly what I was craving so far. I do want another gunslinger, a scythe user, a whip user, and some unique weapons. I might revisit more ideas for this in a later post.

Tales of the World: Something that plays like a Tales game and Isn't on Freaking Mobile (PS Vita): Something like the RM series, hopefully preserving the roster and adding to it, unique storyline, missions, and no level cap this time on shared EXP. If its hard to fit the roster make it a 2D game, nobody would mind.

A handheld mothership Tales (Tales of 17?): Another mothership made specifically for a handheld system, 3DS or Vita either one, I did like the concept though they always did get less attention from the fanbase than the other titles.

And something that's 90% likely to be coming soon and just needs to be announced:

PS4 port of Tales of Phantasia GBA in HD while running at 15 frames per second

Obviously, make Tales of the Tempest R. I want to know what the deal was with the Triverse, why some people were capable of travelling between worlds and how some parts of Innocence/Hearts world was messed up by that. How that will affect Tempest storyline, and what role Kongway, QQ and Gallando will play there.

A version of Tales of Destiny that takes the mechanics and graphics of the remake with the story, characters, and music of the original.

An updated rerelease of Eternia that fixes the minor problems I had with the game and also adds a Ras storyline. Also gives Ras a full moveset.

Localizations of both Phantasia X and Rebirth. Phantasia will use the voice cast from the OVA and Rebirth will use the actors they've used for Veigue in Graces and Eugene/Annie in RM1.

"Lightning Tiger Blade" renamed to Thunder Claw and Thunder Tiger Blade renamed to Lightning Tiger Blade(this has always been a pet peeve of mine, shuddup).

Radiant Mythology 4, localized, on either Vita or 3DS. Added in EVERYONE!!! ...Okay, assuming there's not enough space, the most important additions will be Klarth, Karyl, Max, and Hilda.

An all original game with mechanics based on ones I've had floating around in my head for awhile. Too long to really post about right now. Might do it later.

ToL:FVE we would basically get once my idea is localized, considering CQs were voiced in JP there was just a translation issue with thinking they were a sidequest?

If we can't have everyone in the new RM i'd like the 4 you mentioned as well as Karol, Repede, Mary, Grune, Moses, Kunzite, Beryl, Innes, Cal...and if I list more that'd pretty much be everyone uhhh how do I narrow this done xD

Definitely Repede, Mary, Hilda, Innes, Grune, Moses, Kunzite, Richard, Rowen, Leia, and Beryl for me, from those that aren't there already.

If I had free reign and unlimited money that would not require me to choose what is profitable rather than what I want...

New game: I'm not too picky, but for a couple of things I'd like:
-More taking inspiration from more various sources. Xillia's Asian influence was beautiful, it'd be nice to keep on that track and base the settings of future games on places or mythology from like Africa etc.
-A true female main character.
-Canon queer pairings. Xillia was getting close, but it's still not quite there yet.
-Dat old lady chara. Still holding hope for Zesty on that one.
-Another playable animal. Bonus if it's a cat, a wolf or a dragon (*looks at Zesty*). Or a character that turns into one like the Lycanth in Tempest except more developed.
-Lots of cool DLC to accompany A TON OF COOL INGAME COSTUMES.
-Worldwide simul release with dual audio.
-No stupid mistakes or annoying changes in the translations

Escorts: Like everyone wants, RM4! Gimme Milla, Elise, Leia and Gaius, I don't care about who else.

HD Remake: Xillia-style Abyss, Vesperia-style Symphonia and Graces-style Hearts.

Remake/DC: A Xillia DC to have the game how it was supposed to be before deadlines rushed the end. Bonus if it invalidates X2 because I'm mean
(Actually, turn Ludger's story into its own game, independant from the Xilliaverse, instead; that might do it justice.)

I'd like to read this. I want some exposure to ideas and designs due to my degree and want to develop a game.   

As for me:

-Make Tempest R

-Make Legendia R by just updating its battle system and maybe graphics. Leave everything else as is, OR ELSE.

-Reinvent the system, try some experiments where players are rewarded for playing smartly (R games, Rebirth) compared to just mashing and spamming. Add some tactical systems and mechanics, like actually useful secret missions: breaking body parts will result in weaker attacks, using element x then applying element y will affect patterns, etc. etc. AKA, add to boss fights more tactical, cunning, and strategical mechanics.

-Unconventional powers, abilities, and weapons. The "Stand abilities" from JoJo made me think that well (or crazily) thought out ideas can make for some interesting fights. The problem is how to turn them into gameplay mechanics.

-Make a modern-inspired Tales game. Xillia 2 LIED

-Make a Tales game that is so different mechanics-wise but still retains some of the feel, that it actually turns out good.

-Add more artistic design and mechanics.

-Design it like how Dark Souls did. It's clearly a Japanese RPG but it introduces a new style of gameplay that people will confuse for being it being "too hard", but is actually a very rewarding system.

But, this is Namco so...

I forgot, no one discusses game mechanics in Tales games unless it's Clip.

YES YES YES YES YES to all of this ahh my heart <3 ESPECIALLY the culture influences and animal characters. They did Repede so much better than I expected and I really want them to expand on that!

I'd also like a couple in the party, just an actual canon totally already dating couple. That'd be interesting.

Also more family in parties, like siblings, I love that dynamic and wish it was explored more in-depth in newer games.Even better if there is a large age difference or they are twins

Also I foRGoT about Innocence and Tempest: Also add Hermana, QQ, and Lukius to my list. I'd love to have Cal as well but i'm not as picky if he gets left out. The only reason I didn't put Milla as a must put in if there's a limit is because I'm pretty sure she's getting in no matter what, she will defy the space limit.

That too. Though I'd rather not a large age difference unless it doesn't involve the older raising the younger as has been the pattern until now.
I'd really love something about a mother though. Every time a parent is a main character, either in party or as an antagonist, it's always been the father. We were close to getting a major mother character until Namco turned her into a big brother, and that makes me sad because it would have been a lot more original and interesting.

Twins are good, yay twins.

Also two sisters - we've had two brothers and bro&sis, but not two sisters yet to my knowledge. (Within the party at least.)

Yeah I'd prefer a non-raising the younger one too, its a dynamic that isn't explored as much D:

I was talking with some friends last night and I realize there's one more thing I'd do:

Include awake Centurions (we actually get to see their designs and what they're up to!) and reference Ratatosk (since the first part of it is a Niflheim arc) in NDX, by possibly making it 3D along with ToP? Or maybe just HD 2D along with it.~

New game: Dual protagonists with different heroine. No excessive DLC (I want ingame instead of buying DLC). I do want Iron Fan user.

Another games:
-An HD Remaster of Abyss that adding some events like costumes, on platform is PS3.
-Tales of Legendia remake in PS3.
-Radiant Mythology 4 in PS Vita. Including almost characters from Phantasia to Xillia 2.

I think Wii U is bad because region locked and account tied to device. PS3 is much better.
