| The adventures of a group of teenage Japanese stereotypes in a sea of space. A likable plot without angst? Nah, wouldn't think of it. | |

| I like these games (especially 2 and 3), but I feel like they really squandered the whole "sea of space" theme. You don't call your game "Star Ocean" and stick the player on medieval themed planets for most of the game (especially in the 1st and 3rd games). The fourth game had more planets, but it was still too linear and you never got to freely explore space. A space system like Mass Effect had would've been cool. | |

Exactly this. If they ever make Star Ocean again, it literally should be about the Star Ocean.

| I died so many f*cking time in SO2, varying from all Stoned party, to getting destroyed by all boss within seconds for no good reason while spending 2 minutes mashing X and O skipping cutscenes to refight said boss and die again smh
SO3 and SO4 are cool tho | |

| It'd be nice if SO1 and 2 were available on the Vita... | |

| Didn't the PSP versions get PSN releases then? Or are they among the few that just don't work on the Vita?
Also Blue Sphere is my favorite. *shot*

| I got a copy of Star Ocean: The Second Story for 99 cents at a garage sale last summer, but have yet to play it. I imagine I'll check it out one of these days. | |
