You know for all the guides out there for Symphonia 1 you'd figure there would at least be one for the PS2.

Why, cause the Netherbook has additional bosses now:

Evil Knight at Floor 5,

Shadow Magnius, Forcystus and Pronyma at Floor 10, and I shudder to think that the Living Armor is at the Fourteenth floor just to be screwed over at the fifteenth floor by shadows of Mithos, Kratos and Yuan.

I swear I need to be past level 100 just to beat these guys. BTW, I need a good place for medicinal herb farming. I wanna get enough Red Sages so I can have Colette, Raine and Genis survive Hard Mode. Sage + Rune Bottle formula. Where do I find Sage?

If you go to Gamefaqs, you will find a GC-PS2 guide that details most of the changes. The downside is that most of the names of the arts are the Japanese names. The Symphonia pages in the Tales wiki, Aselia, can give you most of the arte information. I did try e-mailing the person who made the GC-PS2 guide to see if I could post it here, but I haven't heard a response yet.

As for the medicinal herbs, there is sure to be an enemy that carries it as an item that can be stolen. If that is the case, just have Colette steal them with her Item Getter Compound Ex-skill.

Okay, Let me know how that turns out. Meantime I'm gonna beat the demon knight until I reach level 150. By then I should be strong enough to pick off the last of the bosses.

They are dropped by Coffin Masters in the Temple of Darkness (skull head near the first save point).

You can also encounter druids there who drop savories.

edit: Druids are garantueed encounters. Coffin masters don't always show up, but they often show up in pairs.
Make sure Colette has the Item Finder ex skill.

Herbs are useless, the time you will take to farm them you've grind enought to kill on a matter of seconds.

It's for the HP boost. I need it for Colette, Genis and Raine since their HP is so low.

Also, 20 floors?

Okay, if the knight is on the fifth floor, the three grand cardinals are on the 10th floor, which boss is on the fifteenth floor, the living armor?

You could just equip the HP up ex skills that have a small chance to increase max hp at the end of battle. It triggers a lot.

I recall Colette and Raine having the highest HP out of everyone in my party.

If they're giving you THAT much trouble that you want to grind to level 15-freaking-0, just use an All-Divide.

Except I used two of those during my second battle with the knight and my first battle with the Desian Grand Cardinal's shadows respectively. I only have 3 or 4 left.

That was some time ago, so I don't expect a response at this point, unless the person has been on vacation for a while. Always a possibility.

I guess I have been meaning to ask, what is your strategy set to Emil, and who is in your party that you fight with? Sometimes, just having a good strategy set is all you need.

That is going to depend on your personal strategy. If I were you, I would have either Sheena, Colette, or Presea. However, the AI on Colette will usually have her cast spells, so if you want her to be a melee character, you can just turn those off. Presea is a tank, but her attacks are slow and she can get interrupted easily unless you have the "Glory" compound ex-skill. Past that, just make sure you have a strategy set for all out attack for those battles when you really need them. I usually have my party set to where they only use 50% of their TP, and then set the strategy to all out attack for the boss battles.

Txn told me recently that using Sheena's Sylva and Tethe Seals ups her OVL gauge.

Giving your partymembers elemental attacks isn't going to help you much against Abyssion (but I think it can't harm you either? Is he immune to stuff?) but it will help as a "taunt" of sorts to get Sheena to summon faster and more often.

Both Colette and Presea are a force to be reckoned with if you control them, but are significantly less useful if they are AI controlled.

I think I fought Abyssion last with Colette, Lloyd, Zelos and Raine. Turn off Raine's attacks and put her on "All out" and healing exclusively.

Thanks. I'll remember that.

I just got Colette's Coliseum title. Too bad I didn't get the Rune Bottle from the Drake. Next is Raine, and finally Genis. Though I'll have to go in as Colette again at some point for the Rune Bottle drop and have to do it again if I don't get it.

Finally, I have OVER Nine Hundred THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND! Casino Chips, but now the 100- chip slot machine is trying to cheat so I don't get the last 100,000 for the 1 million chips trophy, the Blackjack dealer must be in on it too cause she must stack the deck so I could lose when I have a high bet. Seriously, why couldn't there the slots stop when you want them to? I even used characters with over 100 luck but still, no payoffs. It just sucks up my chips by the 500's.

Also, I only have 98.5% of all the Treasure Chests opened. Someone post a list and I'll cross off the ones I didn't get cause I thought I got them all.

It's a glitch, it randomly happens, even if you find and open and take the contents of each treasure chest in the game.

If you ask the Katz in each region to search for treasure for you, one region will probably tell you there's still a treasure in the area, but when you send them out to get it for you, they can't.

Basically, you're screwed =/

Fine. I'll get the New Game Plus after I get like 1200 - 1500 Grade. Anyway, after I get the LV 100 titles for my party I'll be one title away for Sheena's All Titles trophy.
