| For some reason I just can't get the Study Harder! and Magic Cycle despite doing what I need to do for them. | |

| Enter a battle with something very powerful strong, set everyone to hold position, control genis, go wild. | |

| Are there like any specific enemies that really have some sort of resistence against certain elements and is there a way to see if I used a spell that the enemy is resistent to? | |

| The elemental orbs are the best enemy to get Genis' "Study Harder" title. Set everyone to hold position and keep using a spell based on the element. I kept using Aqua Edge on the water element in the water temple. I think you have to use the spell 10 times to get that title. For the other title, do as Sliv said. | |

| There are ice enemies with large swords in and/or near the Ice temple. They absorb ice.
I think casting 10 icicles on them will net you the title as well. | |

| I get "Study Harder!" more reliably if I'm casting on something that absorbs the element in question, rather than simply invalids. As others have suggested, use the various elemental orb enemies (they're named simply "Fire Element" and such) or the elemental warrior enemies ("Ice Warrior" and such.)
You can see resistances with a Magic Lens, but the lens will not tell you if they are "Reduce" "Invalid" or "Absorb" ...it just tells you it's one of those three. You have to figure out the rest through experimentation.
Reduce (half damage): Lesser damage and the damage numbers tend to be slightly smaller. Invalid (no damage): The attack does not produce any damage numbers at all and the enemy does not stagger. Absorb (regains health): The damage numbers are green because the enemy restores HP instead of losing it.
And just for the sake of completeness, though the Magic Lens will show you this since there's only one level of weakness:
Weak (double damage): Your character will say something like "So that's your weakness!" (also the damage numbers tend to be slightly bigger)

| Magic Cycle is simple: Use one of every one of Genis' elemental spells in one battle. | |

| I got the study harder one now and also got Magic Cycle now but only as I ordered Genis to do the spells instead controlling him myself. Thanks to everyone who replied to the thread ^__^ | |
