An easy way to level up in Xilla

Early on if you're about level 30 you can head to the Old Vicalle Mine and level there. The enemies give good experience but they are a little hard so I suggest being at least level 30 before going to the mine. I'm level 34, leveled 4 levels in an hour. I'm going to level to 40.

If you need to grind in Xillia, you're doing it wrong.

I actually accidentally grind-ed my party in that mine, because I'm way too happy to finally have fights that last longer than a minute and actually able to combo stuff.

Personally, I like these kinds of place that is optional to visit but have high level monsters. I just find that the difficulty spike encourage me to learn more of the system than just bulldoze the storyline. Xillia 2 has Tatar Cave was it? I died a lot there but was masochistic enough to persevere and I finally noticed the 'cycling through elements' mechanic. After that, I appreciate the battle system a lot more and raged less during boss battles.

I kind of accidentally grind in all RPG's.

In Xillia I eventually had to stop fighting monsters altogether to not own every boss way too hard (finished the game at level 80 for everyone). I think from Fezebel marsh onwards I just fought one specimen of each different monster I could find in an area and skipped all the others...

But yes, the Xagut Floodmeadows and that cave are great places to grind to level 30 and 60 respectively. I heard from there it's best to grind in the special dungeon?

It's an expression. Basically what I'm saying is that Xillia is one of the easier entries in the series to where grinding isn't even required to complete the game, unless you're going for a 100% run.

Oh ok, well how is it one of the easier Tales? What about Abyss and Legendia, do you have to grind in those?

Chicken rolls are the best way to grind tbh

It's just overall easier in terms of difficulty.

As for Abyss and Legendia, you might get hung up on specific bosses, but outside of those, grinding isn't really necessary.

End game if you want to hit lvl 99, exp food and Magnus Zero EX dungeon is the way to go.

The LV. + DLC helps.

Oh god, that torment. The worst was when I decided to ramp up the difficulty in NG+, but I didn't have strong enough weapons to back it up, and so lo and behold, each of my attacks did a grand total of ONE FREAKING DAMAGE POINT. WORST.

Luckily, I did have the stats and weaponry to back it up.

What I wasn't prepared for though, was that she had access to a freaking mystic arte all of a sudden.

Oh. Well right now in Legendia I'm level 50 in the Mirage Palace and in Abyss I'm level 23 in the Zao Ruins. That spider boss in the abandoned factory gave me a little bit of trouble.
