I know your pain when it comes to having like nothing to talk about with other people because nothing big has happened in life as of late. Things are just real slow at the moment and it's stressful at times when I think about how little I have conveyed of my life. It wasn't until the last few days where I have finally been given a chance to do something about it. In the course of these last couple of days though, I've also noticed somethin'; no matter how meager it may seem to you, chances are your friends would still love to hear about it. You've linked to your very well-done AMVs that you've submitted for a contest and you have spoken of how much you have learned since you first made that UPS AMV a number of months back. Those two things alone have a great deal you could go in-depth on! I along with many others, would love to hear more about the choices you've made and how you relate to those many choices. We'd love to hear more about what it is you have learned and the type of techniques you've surely picked up along the way. And personally, I'd love to hear more on how you got such great timing for bits of music and certain scenes; it couldn't have been easy.

| @Suikiwi: Ahaha my favorites as far as timing were where I just put a clip down in the timeline and it just *worked*. Maybe I ended up improving the timing slightly but the timing was already otherwise there the moment I put the clip down. "Holy s**t!" moments as it were. The Elemental Gelade video has a part with Cou blocking blows from a ninja with his sword, and each blow is timed to the drums. Guess what? All I did was put the clip there - curious how it'd look - and play it back and my jaw dropped. I didn't have to adjust the video speed or anything. So a few times it *was* easy.
I do love how the Elemental Gelade one turned out overall. I picked the anime based on the chorus of the song because it seemed to fit so well. I started with:
We are the ones - Cou We are the guns - Cisqua We are the voice of a song unsung - Ren
And finishing up with "We are one" showing clips of Cou and Ren while Ren is in React mode. The rest just sort of expanded from there, including Rowen and Kuea in React mode for "We are the chains that hold us".
As I was skimming/speed-rewatching the series to gather clips it later hit me just how well the song fits.
But I can't just sit here and watch it If we don't stop it, no one will!
The overlying plotline of Elemental Gelade is about a race of women called Edel Raids that turn into weapons, and it deals a lot with racism against these women and attempting to put a stop to it. They are often seen merely as powerful weapons - tools to be used, rather than fellow human beings that should be respected. And Cou himself has a Heroic Blue-Screen of Death fairly early on when he realizes he fell into that same trap himself and was only thinking about how powerful he was when reacting with Ren without even considering how she felt on the matter.
Y'know what? You're right, I do have something to talk about. So much so that if I continue I'll either take over the thread, or worse - never finish this post. xD

Is it on youtube yet? Neg: Exam tomorrow a;lsdkhf;asdlfj. I did not have much time to study for it for a myriad of reasons. My least convincing excuse being Radiant Historia. Though in all honesty that only shaved one half or full day off of my schedule, the other days were removed due to moving out, deadlines for other courses, getting used to my housemate, etc

| Fick: Mom goes in for another checkup on her foot today. I get to learn whether I get to start seeing the light at the end of this sh**ty tunnel or not. NEG: F**K. My friend just gave me an update on his situation last night. WORST CASE SCENARIO IS HAPPENING. Not only did he not get the job, which I was thinking would be the better outcome because then he couldn't go through with the rest, but HE'S ALREADY GONE THROUGH WITH THE REST ANYWAY assuming he was GETTING that job, putting himself in a position where he's going to bleed money VERY quickly - money he doesn't even have that much of to begin with. He now has to find himself a job FAST (like within a month by my estimate) or there will be no money, no college, no NOTHING, and quite possibly no hope - this is a recipe for disaster that scares the s**t outta me because depending on the outcome it's the kind of thing that drives people to become suicidal and I don't even know how I'm even going to deal with him if that happens. I really wish he had listened to me and everyone else warning him. | |

| Alright! So what does that mean for you? Is she in good enough shape that you can resign the caregiver role and get your life back on track? (I'm guessing that you'll be able to do so before she's fully recovered, but dunno if things are at that point just yet) | |

| Well basically she's been off her feet for 7 months so she can't walk very well yet (plus I think they only want her to walk short distances for now.) Once I stop needing to help out every 5 minutes I'll actually be able to shift focus back on myself.
What this means for me is that I can push them to help me get things on track and continue pushing until they take me seriously. Previously I went and talked to them about it twice - completely breaking down into tears in the process - and it seemed like all they were trying to do was calm me down enough to drop the subject so that they could then pretend it never happened and continue to do everything they can to keep me here because I'm so f**king useful to them. I know that's likely not what's really been going on but God f**king dammit I'm sick of being the goddamn elephant in the room that everyone refuses to acknowledge or deal with.
And after 7 months of having to continue to pay them "rent" when leaving the house was not even an option and having to pay my portion of the cellphone bill for a device that was primarily used to pester me constantly when all I wanted was like a day even, just one day to focus on myself and my own problems...
Ok woah woah woah I need to stop. Obviously, there's been all sorts of s**t going through my mind these past 7 months, far more than I think I actually allowed myself to vent.
Anyway, I think I need to get my brother involved too. Just sit everyone down and talk, and tell them not to just calm me down, but help me figure this s**t out. All I have are various ideas with no clear, concrete starting area, especially when people say they will help me but then don't actually make good on that.
EDIT: Yeah still going to be a while. I was not informed how bad it is until just now. She can only walk about 8 steps before the pain starts to get to her.
Still I'm hoping this changes the overall mood around here for the better so that I'm not the only one even remotely staying positive (or at least trying to) despite my own inner turmoil.

| Fick: There's someone I know on FB who maybe an status update (after her superior spoke to her) questioning why being too direct with customers is such a bad thing. She's a caller for a taxi company and she doesn't know why that is a dumb habit to exhibit.
I'd explain why that is such a bad thing to her but she's not too good with constructive criticism. -_-
