Nice. Sadly, I have an up-to-date PS3, so I'll hav to stick to the translation guide they made.

I kinda have a faint hope in my heart that Namco will ask the translators if they could use their patch for a VesPS3 localization, but that'll never happen. I also don't have the proper PS3.

I'd be tempted to buy an old used PS3 if I knew it had old firmware just for this...

I have a PS3 from early 2010 but I'd have to use a hardware flasher to downgrade it and I'm too afraid to attempt something like that. Plus they're not cheap.

I don't dare installing anything from the internet on my console or do whatever is necessary.
I'm tech illiterate and have no idea what I'm doing and I'm too afraid I'll break something.
As much as I want to play this game in English, I kind of made peace with the fact that I will never be able to.

I still glare angrily at the 360 version at my local electronics store.

I thought this exact thing today.
Like, maybe in 2018 they will re-release it on PS4, like they did with Symphonia on PS3, in 2013.
That is still something to hold on to, I agree, though Symphonia was considerably more popular, I believe.

On the other hand, I might be willing to mod my PS3 eventually, once I moved my gaming to PS4 and only use the PS3 for playing old games.

I came across the translation guide and was meaning to ask if anyone played the PS3 version using it.
Is it a decent option or is it missing a lot of important stuff?

I tried downloading the patch, but when inputted it into my PS3, something went wrong and I corrupted the file.
I should fix it and get on playing sooner or later, haha.

So, this English edit for the PS3 version was made by fans for fans to sue at home, with no commercial background and no involvement by Namco Bandai.




On a different note, I have now imported the PS3 version and plan to play it using the Data & Translation Guide. I'm still waiting for it to arrive.
I have a PS4 now and don't use my PS3 much anymore, but I still don't want to tinker with it and I'm pretty sure it's up-to-date anyway.
