Final Fantasy III DS

Am I just missing something, or do you need to do an obscene amount of grinding on low-level monsters that barely give you any experience at the very beginning of the game so you don't get wiped out inside the Sealed Cave?  I got everyone up to Level 4 (Ingus's starting level) and I tried to get all the armor upgrades I can afford this early on, but as soon as I try to progress in the plot, Murder Time happens.  My characters have around 50 HP and each monster's attack damage averages around 30 HP.

My understanding is yes, yes you do. It's probably thr worst Final Fantasy in my opinion.

You have princess sara healing you every other battle or so, it shouldn't have been too problematic. Wightslayer and Holy Arrow should make a quick work on the monsters iirc, and anyone not dual-wielding awesome knuckle+sword should stay in the back row. Shields are for pussies.

I still agree that FF3DS is pretty shitty. This part is still pretty okay to be honest, I still can't get over the awfulness of the 'dragon god's mouth dungeon that requires you to be mini and pretty much useless unless if you invested everyone in spellcaster(red mage) class beforehand'


Go play FF Dimension, better class system on par with, if not slightly better than, FFV's class system.

FF3 DS is a terrible game. Play the original if you want a decent game. The problem with the remake is the developers rebalanced all the character classes, but didn't bother adjusting the enemies.

Yeaaaaaaaaah the remake is rather unforgiving. Thankfully their tuning skills weren't shitty with 4.

I thought this game was harder than it should be, and this explains a lot of that.

I prefer the original when playing this game, but if you had to play it, I'd choose any version that's out there.
It gets worse closer to the end of the game, if you're not the proper level, any enemy can really OHKO you.
