| Has anyone here played it or heard anything about it? I've been considering it since 1.0 but the thing that always puts me off the most is the costs involved. It seems to me like a whole other game system with each character costing ~$13 and the fact that when a new version comes out the older levels are no longer playable only the current ones. Is it worth it?
I'm considering 3.0 nonetheless, but I'd like to know if anyone has any thoughts on it they could share?

| Getting the figures is way easier then Amiibos, so you won't have to pay ebay scalpers ridiculous prices for them. I don't know much about them beyond that. | |

| I have Disney Infinity 1.0. My major complaint with the game is the tools that you need to build custom levels take a long time to unlock. You need to level up your characters to earn tokens so that you can play a slot machine to unlock parts randomly. With that being said, I really enjoyed the Pirates of the Caribbean game. It was pretty short, but sailing around on a small ocean was fun. The gameplay in the sets themselves play like a Lego game. I would say if there are a good group of characters you like, check it out. | |

| It's amazing popular over here together with Skylanders (is that the thing?).
Stores are packed with them.

| Thanks guys, hmm, I do really like the idea of the Inside Out and Marvel characters, I'll wait to see if they announce an alternate 3.0 pack like they did with 2.0 with Stitch and Merida, because I really don't feel the need to get Star Wars, I'd rather be spending the money on a pack that already has characters I want | |

| Luckily for me, the starter pack came with Captain Jack Sparrow. I ended up buying Captain Barbossa and Davy Jones to complete the Pirates set. I also bought Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey just because I like him. | |
