is dawn of the new world a good game?

Is it a good game? Cause i just bought symphonia chronicles.

I think it is worth checking out. I have played through it twice and there are some enjoyable moments.

As a sequel, not really, but as a Tales of game it's good. I loved capturing monsters despite the apparent randomness.

It's better than ToS1, IMO.

After playing Symphonia 1, I agree. I even wrote a review about it. Gave it a 10/10.

i liked it better than ToS1 as well.
Ratatosk is a really interesting character and to have monster battle next to you is such a cool idea. it's like mixing pokemon with tales.

No idea. I got the normal release of ToS2

It does, but the bonuses you get for it make basically no impact.

And DotNW has something Symphonia does not: FREE RUN for your player character.

I heard that DotNW is awful and stuff like that. Should I just try it out for myself and see if I like it?

I think this is probably the best way to put it. It's different, for a Tales game, and as such is refreshing for some people, but there are many more ambitious directions they could've taken with a sequel. As it is, they knew they HAD to make a sequel, the ending was just asking for one even though there was no cliffhanger...They probably should've put it on the backburner until they had something more unique and not relied on cameos to sell the name.

Then again, isn't Phantasia far into Symphonia's future? You could argue that that's the sequel that people would have wanted. Speaking of which, I really wish we could get an HD sprite-based Tales game again (with sprites made from scratch) and actually have it come over here. I wouldn't say no to another Phantasia or Destiny remake if that were the case.
