So, how come no one ever said this game has the best OST of all Tales Gamia?

Most of the games have 1 or 2 memorable tracks, but this game is loaded with them:

Competing with the Honor of the Land
Fight Between the Wind and the Blinking Sky
Flaming Bonds are Being Tested
Melody of Water is the Guide in Spiritual Mist
Rising Up
and damn Zavied The Exile is awesome, giving Fatalize and Fury Sparks a run for their money.

Even just the overworld music is overwhelmingly nostalgic. Once I can actually stay conscious enough to play some video games I'm actually gonna finish this game.

I had been trying to spread the disc 3 love since earlier this year, but alas, it couldn't reach everyone.

(For reference, disc 3 is where all the linked songs are on the OST. It contains all the Go Shiina songs, the rest of the discs are Motoi Sakuraba's input. The Alisha DLC has a couple songs composed by a third composer, Eriko Sakurai)

I've been listening to disc 3 every time I was hyped for this game...its some good stuff <3 I even find I'm liking some of Sakuraba's stuff for this game, and I usually only find 1-3 of his tracks memorable in a Tales game. Getting to experience the tracks in actual action is great <3 I cannot WAIT for the wind shrine (but also...I can....)

I think what I liked more was the song listed by TC playing seamlessly in and out of battle. That's honestly refreshing for the series, especially the fire temple on, so pumping.

The water temple one is also great. What do you call this kind of style again? Something similar to a vocaloid song, Cantarella I think.

I still can't bring myself to like water temple bgm though, f*** water temple. Is it an unwritten rule among game developers to make water themed dungeon as annoying as possible or something?

Nothing brings more rage then a water temple, that's for certain.

I think a lot of people say it is, actually. Personally, I don't think it holds a candle to Destiny or Graces. The only songs that really make Zestiria's OST standout are the ones by Go Shiina, and there really are not that many of them in the game to begin with.

But gosh do I love me some Rising Up...

I'm with you on all those OSTs there. I love all of them.

Although it is a shame that Melody of Water is the Guide in Spiritual Mist only played in the worst goddamn temple in the game. f*** water temples. Now every time I listen to that score, I have to remember the utter pain of that damn temple puzzle which was 1% difficult and 99% frustrating.

As for the question in the title... I believe Tales of Legendia still holds the title of best OST of all Tales of games. That is probably why.
