EDIT: They did, although silly me forgot that Flareon isn't awful in Gen 1 because its Special stat is still 110 and Fire moves are also Special.

So, thoughts on the new Anarchy/Democracy system that's been put into place?

They're still barely making progress. They finally got the lift key, but not much is happening now. It's mainly people warring over which setting they want to use.

I like the idea of voting which action to take, but it's still very slow. One of two things needs to happen to speed this up:

People need to start typing in multiple commands more often (such as down7, right3, etc.), or

They need to make the voting period shorter.

The democracy system's a load of shit anyway, the point WAS that even with total chaos (i.e., anarchy), things could get done eventually. It was a self-correcting system as people cyclically lost interest and tuned back in when something interesting happened.

Now most people are focusing on democracy vs. anarchy instead of coordinating in the game itself. And people are abusing democracy to spam start9 to annoy people back into anarchy. It's just pointless. And to top it all off, democracy is boring as fuck to watch.

Agreed. I can totally get behind using democracy for places like the Safari Zone but for places which don't require very very very precise movement? No thanks.

We won't even need it for Safari Zone because the steps are going to be fixed.

Are they done in Lavender town yet? Hard to tell what their intentions are (if they're trying to go into the tower again or leave the city XD)

I think they're still trying to get to the top. It seems they got the swift tm, but they taught it to ratatta instead of pidgeot.
