| Ironically, Tales of the Tempest.
The whole game is a joke, except the final boss. Curbstomp battle.

| None of them except possibly Tempest and the first Radiant Mythology game, if you like having the Tales characters on your team. | |

| DotNW outright prevents you from grinding if you ignore the monster catching system and Emil and Marta, and play solely with the original Symphonia cast, because they can't level. | |

| The Gameboy Color version of Narikiri Dungeon pretty much expects you grind for costume points between dungeons, leveling up in the process. Especially in the later dungeons that not only have weird level spikes between them, but also require you to have done a certain amount of sidequests just to enter. :/ | |

| So there are Tales that require grinding. I don't have Tempest. What console is it for? I don't have Radiant Mythology either or Nirikiri Dungeon. What consoles are they for? Well Radiant Mythology at least. Nirikiri Dungeon is for the GBA and Gameboy Color. | |

| Tempest is for the NDS, and has a full translation done by Absolute Zero Productions.
Radiant Mythology is for the PSP, and was officially localized.

| I don't have an NDS but I can emulate it just like I did for Innocence. Sucks that I lost my save file for Innocence when I wiped my computer due to a virus. I was pretty high leveled and far into it too. I dunno if I can emulate Radiant Mythology, hmm. | |

| I think Tales of Phantasia requires Grinding, the enemies are very annoying and if you are under-leveled it can be a problem. | |

| None of Tales games needs grinding to beat, believe it or not strategy plays a much better role in battle than hitting 1k or using high tiered arte.
I beat Phantasia on Mania on level 5x and I still thought I was high leveled because even using Holy Bottles the entire run the encounter rate is still pretty high.

yeah... i got stuck because those little balls that cast this massive spell on your whole party in that one dungeon (yeah, I'm being really precise right now...) 2 hits and everyone was dead. and sooner or later this kept happening. i stopped plaiyng the game, because that is just stupid... but I might pick it up again soon i usually grind for items and money. and then i have to adjust the difficulty in order for it to still be fun.

| Surprisingly, that's gotta be Tempest for me. I didn't enjoy the game, but in the end, it felt like I had to take battles seriously -_-'
I also think Tales of Phantasia would need a lot of grinding, and I think the best place to do this is in the Morlia Mineshaft (Future), since it has some areas where enemies are strong and seems to let you level up relatively quickly... although you'll need a lot of gels and bottles to survive going IN and OUT. =P
But Arn also makes a good point on strategy, since the high-tier artes will save your ass from dying, even if they cost a lot of MP. I remember spamming Indignation, Tempest, Black Hole, and/or Extortion during the final battles, along with Volt, Aska, Shadow, Origin, and/or Pluto summons. I did run out of MP eventually, but I had Arche and Klarth equipped with some items that really helped lots.
That probably involves using the right characters, too, and figuring out which is best to use.

| For me, Rebirth took a little tiny bit of grinding but that's because I was silly in my first playthrough when I was younger and when I got frustrated from encounters I ran from too many.
I did a teensy bit of grinding in Legendia after the jump to the character quests because I was getting my butt handed to me, if you want to get spells as soon as you get them will sometimes require grinding for stones if you're unlucky with drop rate, but normally it's all well paced.
Tempest I probably agree with but I just didn't bother, I boneheadidly charged in and the final boss took me an eternity of keeping everyone alive
