| Thanks Moonie. I wasn't sure i wanted to post all that on the previous page but I went ahead with it anyway. Something I used to tell myself all the time also comes to mind now. "'To err is human', therefore the fact I tend to make more mistakes than others only makes me more human, and that's nothing to be ashamed about."

Or any of your neighbors signed for it? Maybe he left the notice at the wrong door, Those volunteer mail men fail, I had different bad experiences with the post office but not like this.

| No one's hiding the packages, it's just me and my parents in the house and one of the missing packages was for my mother.
Also if there ever was a note it should have been in the mailbox. The day the tracking says a note was left, one of my OTHER packages *was* delivered - jammed into the mailbox where it barely fit like a square peg in a round hole. Almost had to cut into it to get if out. (One package last October I *did* have to cut into. Someone's either lazy or an idiot.)

I hope things work out, Tenshi - I've had enough things misdelivered or go missing that I now get paranoid when waiting for something especially important to be mailed to me.

Pos: Saw an old friend who joined me and some of my other friends to go see Maleficent. Frick: Movie was stupid, but I had loads of fun. | Pos/Fick: So, like, I totally had the weirdest dreams last night. My first one consisted of me traveling with an old friend of mine and their family cross country heading out west. I remember being incredibly hella excited at the fact I was traveling to places I had yet to visit irl and once we had reached Texas, I was all like "HELL YES! I'm so far west from home it's insane!" and during my dream, I remember I didn't have a problem with the fact that I still didn't know why I was traveling out west to begin with. Logic in dreams is a funny thing, isn't it? Anyway, in my second dream I found myself playing some unrecognizable MMO or somethin' and I was controllin' some kind of weird helicopter contraption! I think the goal I was trying to reach was to be able to land the wobbly machine onto a sturdy platform but sadly I couldn't find anything suitable. Why I was controlling a helicopter and why I was trying to land it I'll never know; I just was. o_O All the while, I was like really really really determined and engrossed with getting this thing on solid ground, that it took me a second to realize I had gotten an ingame message! From Slivster no less! Why Sliv was playing such a weird and confusing game is somethin' I'll prolly never understand (maybe he would know??? xD). I recall feeling beside myself with a surge of joy at reading his greeting! The welcomed presence of familiarity while being amidst a very troubling landscape being a great relief upon my mind at the stress of randomly being a pilot! And just as I was about to type out a response, I was yanked from the dream world and promptly brought back to the real world by my father randomly talking (rather animatedly no less!) outside on the phone! -_- The first thing that came across my mind was me thinking to myself: " Really? You just had to wake me up at that instant in the most arbitrary of ways now of all times, life?!" He rarely if ever talks on the phone outside so I'm fairly convinced life was out to mess with me, guys. :/ Edit: Just logged on FB and a friend of mine posted (literally the first thing I see) this gem. Life is really trying to tell me something today. o_O - Tenshigami wrote:

| Of course dreams are illogical. Dreams are dreams because they allow us to escape from the confines of reality. Nightmares of course occur when this phenomenon just does not go our way.
Also - Wow. Wish I had dreams I could describe. I think I've said this before at some point between forum wipes, but I just... don't really dream anymore. Doesn't bother me for the most part, but every time someone talks about having a dream, that's when it kind of does start bothering me because then I'm reminded. Even when I get plenty of sleep, I'm out like a light, sleep like a log (I can sleep straight through massive T-storms), and then wake up when the alarm goes off, without so much as the slightest sign of having a dream. Usually even if you forget the contents of the dream you remember having had one when you wake up, right? I don't even get that anymore.
I wish I knew what the problem is. I've tried getting more sleep but all that does is make me wake up like an hour or two before the alarm.

| Pos: did a Google hangout with some friends last night and was actually able to be talkative for once!
Neg: one friend on the hangout said something that got me to admit that I still don't have my drivers license and that's got me massively depressed now. All I ever seem to do is hit a wall in that regard, and nobody around me in a position to help seems to even want to...

| It's not like a driver licence is really necessary, I have mine for about 7 years now and I rarelly drive a car, only if I'm really lazy or if I don't have the money for the bus. | |

| Well y'see Arn the situation really differs from person to person. I can't speak for Tenshi but some people grow tired of being so dependent on others to get them around and it can be rather embarrassing at times when others broach the subject around you.
Not only that but you gotta factor in where someone might live. Like for me, getting a license is pretty necessary since I live in a rural area with everything being spread out and public transportation is pretty limited. I wanna be able to do the things I need to do without someone else having to take time out their day to get me around. I wanna be able to drive 3 hours down to North Carolina to see my sister and tbh, if I had someone important visiting me, being ferried around by my old man is the last thing I'd want. >.>
And hey Tenshi, have you ever taken a driving course?

| @Arn Well the problem is, you kinda need to have a destination in mind when going by bus or other public transportation. I don't really have anywhere I would go by bus - I don't even have any local friends to visit or anything. Also I'd have to figure out bus routes in order to get anywhere.
It really doesn't help how the conversation went either...
"*jokingly* You're gonna drive down to Tennessee and visit [good friend I really get along well with], right?" *long silence* "...I totally would if I could, but I still don't have a driver's license."
It also doesn't help that my best friend also lives in Tennessee so I have even more reason to want to visit - though it'd be a long enough drive I'd probably be better off flying out anyway.
@Sui I've brought it up but nobody's ever offered to take me where I'd need to go for lessons. Part of it I suppose is that everyone's so goddamn busy, including me. Even when I'm not, I go over to my dad and see he's busy working so I just don't even bother. I can't ask my mom to help as she can't really go anywhere still. She's still slowly regaining her ability to walk.
Another part of it is... well, I don't know. I can voice my distress to you guys just fine. (And once again I apologize for constantly coming to this thread and whining.) But when it comes to voicing it to my parents I can't seem to articulate it in a way that gets them to understand how soul-shatteringly unhappy I often feel.

| It's ok Arn. I get what you're saying because I have friends out on the east coast that for the most part don't drive and even take the subway to visit each other across states. Over here in MN a car is pretty much a necessity. I envy them a little... | |

| Pos: After hearing it for the first time yesterday and after practicing 9 million times, I've gotten pretty damn good at singing "Nothing Can Change This Love" by Sam Cooke. I'm actually pretty impressed with how well I can hit his pitch. My voice is somewhat lower than most other chicks which inhibits me with a lot of songs sadly yet I can sing 50+ year old blues/soul songs better than most other women can. I'm weird, what can I say? That 5 years of chorus never really left me and prolly never will! Now if only I could master "Rolling in the Deep".... Pos: I'll be listening to other Same Cooke hits today and see what I can do with those too. | |
