Well, considering that the overwhelming majority of Anime features schools (teenagers/young adults), it's not really surprising.

First off there are no maids, and second the amount of school uniforms really isn't surprising considering that the characters of school-set anime are meant to be super-relatable as if its audience could be just like the characters in the show, they're students just like them!
