^ So on one hand we have that, on the other hand we have "Nintendo tries to do new things with a 15-year old 2D Fighter and its all a wash because no in-game voice chat". Truly the spectrum. While I'm just over here marveling that someone actually made me want to play Target Smash.

Yeah, I mean I'll still play it, but as soon as I read that sentence about before/after voice chat, all I could think was: WELL I guess it's good that Guilty Gear comes out less than a month afterward.

So yeah, it's probably safe to say that Mario Party and co-op Nintendo games will never have online play and Mario Kart and Smash Bros. will continue to have no in-game voice chat. f*** Nintendo.

Oh, it is disappointing and perfectly exasperating, yes. It just got me thinking that, in my own tunnel vision of the nonsense I've played in Smash over the past few years, the things that make you want voice chat the most will still be ringing in your ears when your done. But that's me, over here thinking about how much a game needs it rather than "you have the technology, do you need a reason?"

But I mean, there's no argument you can make at this point. They HAVE voice chat, if they're worried about adult content, well we can curse at children all we want in the lobby. This just speaks to me that Nintendo Network's infrastructure is SO BAD that they just can't support voice chat without lagging their gameplay to shit.

Presumably because it's not part of the OS and needs to be handled custom, which I'm theorizing because they keep doing this nonsensical compartmentalization of online functions, like how you always have to say "Yes, I want to connect to Nintendo Network" when you access an online mode, and then you dial in. It's ridiculous and supremely bogged down.

Sorry to interrupt the current discussion of "Nintendo's still crappy in 2014 online service" but just want to say add me if anyone ever wants to battle. Maybe we can get some FFA's going since I prefer them to one-on-one's. ^^;

SHADOWFOX! What's up dude? I'd definitely be down for whatever, any Smash is good Smash. Stock, time, items, no items, one vs. one or free for all, team battle, doesn't matter to me. These games are about variety.

The only thing I don't care for are the Omega stages. I understand the appeal but the stages are integral to great Smash gameplay, and they're more fixed than random item drops.

And I never was, I was actually describing why my thoughts on it don't make sense. Particularly since you seem to have heard about the Chat limits prior to the 50 video, whereas I heard just then.

I prefer Snake's Codec conversations. An otherwise serious character like Campell turning Wario's farting technique into a legit threat following Snake's reaction is just icing on the cake.

The cheese-factor in the Palutena's Guidance dialogue is making me glad I didn't pick up KI:U during the sale.



I know if I ever face a Pit as Megaman in 1v1 and he uses that easter egg, I'm going to lose from the distraction of such annoying/bad lines. Ugh...so much cringe.

I'm happy and I'm sad. A balancing patch is coming soon for Smash and I saved so many replays. I caused so many rage quits. I want to remember them all.

Man, Antony Del Rio is so great. I don't think the accent is bad, just Bostonian for some reason.

Am I the only one who finds his Pit to be extremely annoying in game and yet Dark Pit is tolerable?

That was the reason I started playing as Dark Pit in the first place. I'm shallow, I know.
