Tales of Hearts R localization confirmed (Winter 2014)

It was just leftover voice actors who only had smaller roles in game voicing the cameos. Now that Hearts is actually being released they'll recast Amber with a more fitting voice. I don't really know who would be a good candidate though, but I am feeling either Lucien Dodge or Erik Kimerer as Shing (my first choice would have been Todd Haberkorn, but he was cast as Rowen).

I hope that's what they do.

Haley Joel Osment (Sora from Kingdom Hearts) or Joshua Seth (Tai from Digimon) would be a good Shing, but Osment is union (although Chronicles proved they can get big-budget talent again) and Seth has retired from voice acting.

Pretty sure Tales might have gone union since a number of Xillia VAs are union.

And speaking of VAs, I'm kinda really want Troy Baker to do Jadeite.

Sadly, I don't know if Troy Baker still does anime-related things.

I just hope they don't reuse a bunch of previous actors like Graces did.

Joshua Seth is a hypnotist and has been for a while though, but on that subject Jason Spisak (who sounds kinda similar) would also make a good Shing. For the rest of the cast...I'm thinking Kira Buckland for Kohak/Amber, Kyle Hebert or Sean Chiplock for Hisui/Jadeite, and Grant George or Keith Silverstein for Kunzite. I'm not sure about the others.

It's kind of hard to figure out what pool of voice actors Namco uses, they don't really take newbies but they don't seem to be fully union either.

He does if he's interested or reprising a role. He and a bunch of other anime actors do western animation and videogames (and other jobs) since they pay a lot more than anime dubbing.

Yey Hearts in English and i can buy DLC \ o / I'm so happy everyone can experience the story now in more ways!!

I'm hoping they botch the hill scene translation and make it more like the original *shot*

I also need a new memory card now -_- Hopefully they give us that CE I missed out on <3 I'm so super excited my top tales will all be on English now! And it's thankfully well spaced from the X2 release date rumour so nobody has to go completely broke xS

Hm, I don't have a Vita, but... I will steal it from a friend and buy the game - sounds good.

That means I'll have to buy all the dlc all over again no troubles with that now I just got to wait for Gamestop to put up TOH R again I didn't order until it was they said it was real yes I know my mistake

Depending on when this gets released this could be the first game I ever buy for my Vita.

Every other game I own on it is from Plus and P4G was a gift.

Easter weekend so the guys who keep up the Facebook page aren't working atm. Plus the fact that the original video was set to private after it was found probably means Bandai Namco didn't mean for it to get out yet. The lower guys in the company who post about this stuff still have to stick to the schedule the higher ups give, even if there's a leak. At least until the higher ups give them the go ahead, but it won't happen over the weekend when everyone's out.
In that case, they'll probably bring it up after the weekend's over.

It would be unprofessional to break the news earlier than intended simply because their tech guy screwed up and a random fan took advantage of it.

Other than that, if this is any indication, maybe Innocent and Rebirth will get the localized treatment too. Of course Rebirth will have to be updated.

What Rebirth have to do with all this? If that's the case them they need to go way back in 2002 and start with Destiny 2.

Also, you are acting like one of those people that say it would make more sense if it was released for 3DS.

Why should Rebirth be localized? It's a PS2/PSP game, and unlike Innocence, it doesn't have a remake/port on the Vita or any other current gen consoles/handhelds.

Because they probably didn't put any effort into her casting and just let Wendee Lee play Amber for the few lines she has in Graces f to save money.

Now that her game is getting localized, they'll probably put more effort into finding a more suitable voice for Amber. Then again, Namco has been oddly consistent with voice actors in the past. The actors who played the Symphonia characters in Radiant Mythology reprised their roles in Dawn of the New World, for instance.

Only Lloyd, Kratos, Genis and Raine were in RM. And in DotNW, Kratos was only in one scene.

Well wgho would play Amber, Laura Bailey? The girl who played Elize Lutus?
