Just to clear the air a little bit

Is there any way I can help out?

I have a little bit of experience both as a moderator and as an admin on seperate RP forums in the past if that helps.
edit: and knowledge of basic css, xhtml and javascript through my uni but I'm guessing that's not necessary to restore/ recreate the forums.

I tried messaging Kyle on Facebook (his last activity there was 16 hours ago so maybe he's around?)

Is there any more info available about color codes for backgrounds and text color etc? I can't remember them .__.

I leave for a day and the whole forum dies _._ I am legitimately so bad at technology, but all you wonderful admins have my moral support and whatever else I can provide!

The original forums have been deleted by Namco and will be replaced by an overarching forum for all Namco Bandai games in the future.

In the mean time (two or three years I think they were talking about?), we have this and the facebook group.

If I remember right, they said it would simply be quite some time before they had the official forum up.

I thought they mentioned 2015/2016 as the year in which they would launch the new forums?

And since the tales index has been gone for approximately a year already...

Well, that sounds kind of stupid or rather halfhearted?

Both, if you ask me.

Not to mention they did not give us fair warning in advance.

And they could've kept the forums in place until the new forums were launched.

Namco has obviously stopped giving a damn about their forums a long time ago so why should we care?

I care because I really like you guys, and believe it or not, I still love the Tales series. Also, I like having a place to discuss games, anime and other stuff with people I'm comfortable with.

As an aside. Have other Tales fans flocked to other communities? I know there was at least one particularly reknown fansite, we had some of the admin staff from it on our old forum if I remember right, but I don't know of other Tales forum communities. We could, theoretically, do a recruitment drive at any time if we actually want to, you know, be a Tales forum again. I may not be the fan I once was (well that's actually because I haven't had the ability to play the games for three-four entries now...Has Namco released any of the games on PSN BTW? I suppose I could get 'em on my Vita) but the series still holds a place in my heart, particularly because the community has so many awesome people like you guys.

Some things are still off. For example I can't find where to change the text color for our Posts, join date, age and location.

Yeah, and that's reflected in profile and profile edit pages too. We may need to edit the actual skin for that. Also we need a bit more variation in the post icons, right now the popular thread icon is identical to the thread-with-new-posts icon, so threads that become popular appear to always have no posts in them...That's an issue. =P (I think that popular threads should be a red gel.)


Also, I'm gonna be pretty chill in terms of moderation. People who don't want to admin after the forum's all set up can feel free to remove themselves from the list. People who are staying as admins or moderators, my only request is that you put the word admin or moderator in your title, to keep people from having to check the group list.

We'll need a rules thread if we decide to do a recruitment drive, but for now I think we can self moderate. Simple stuff like covering up spoilers and trying not to stretch the screen with images.

I think it should be possible, though. I have another forum with this theme, and the text is white .__.

Agreed!

It looks much more crisp somehow. I'm glad you all put in so much effort. This place is very important to me as well.
