You should really check out all the Playstation Experience 2015 stuff, lots of good things announced...
FF7's PC version was ported to PS4 and comes with a Midgar theme, Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, the Grand Theft Auto games and some other PS2 classics are now on PS4...These all include trophies and are $15 each (FF7 currently on sale.)
Yakuza 0 is coming to the west both physically and digitially for PS4.

I am slightly interested in the FF7 remake, as it appears to have real time combat rather than turn based like in the original lol... Yeah, turn-based combat is why I never did do the FF games. Other than that, really only Ace Combat 7 interests me so far.

I really don't know about that. With options like Summon and Defend, I still get the impression that the remake works off of ATBs. I think this is like that original FF13 trailer where the combat was totally not representative of the final gameplay, characters switching attack targets and doing acrobatic cinematic stuff between each hit.
However that sounds like a horrible idea if you're gonna place the camera behind each character when it's time for their attack, but it's not unlikely considering that FF13 had AoE attacks inspired by Wild ARMs 3 where you could only select from the list of enemies and couldn't position the AoE yourself, so enemies' random positions would affect how useful your spells were.

I'm kinda baffled by the decision to emulate the PS2 versions of the GTA games when the system could handle the PC versions with no problems.

Just be glad that we didn't get a port of the iOS version like the 360 got.

See, that's so weird.
I understand that Xbox nerds are waving their dicks around because for select titles the Xbox One supports Xbox 360 discs and automatically gives you access to any of your digital games (does it even give you digital access to retail games that are simply on your achievements list? I've heard conflicting info, I would assume no because that's too good) but I'm fine with the fact that the PS4 doesn't support PS2 discs...What bothers me is the fact that the PS3 already had a PS2 Classics line, handled via emulation, and they're apparently using a completely different emulator, ditto for PS1 Classics. I realize that the PS3 PS2 Classics had no upscaling or trophies, but even despite that, it makes NO sense to me why those titles don't carry over, and why the PS3 and PS4 releases of San Andreas are different because of that.

360 compatibility on Xbone lets you pop in supported game discs, and then it downloads the updated version of it. You must keep the disc in the drive to play the game. If you have a digital 360 game, it will show up in your downloads if its supported. Games with multiple discs are currently not supported (FO3 GOTY being the exception, probably because the second disc is just DLC).
Microsoft has to make some minor changes to the game so it acts like an Xbone title. You can even take screenshots and record videos of 360 gameplay. Ingame, the 360 features work just like they did on the original system. You can send messages, invites, and even party chat. A 360 game on Xbone can be played with people on a Xbox 360.
Digital Foundry has some good info on this (and you should check out this site because they go into a lot of technical aspects of how console games run).
"It is essentially the exact same code," Rayner replied. "The Xbox team converts the 360 game and 360 flash PPC executables into native x64 executables, packages those up with the 360 game assets, 360 flash and emulator as a regular Xbox One game, and publishes it."
And this explains why we can't have immediate backward compatibility access to every Xbox 360 game in our library: the Xbox team itself seems to be recompiling the original PowerPC code to run on the x64 AMD Jaguar cores integrated inside Xbox One. This revised code is then bundled with the original game assets, along with x64-based versions of the Xbox 360 OS itself. [UPDATE 16/11/15 8:51am: Reader L_A_G writes with another compelling theory: that the source code isn't being recompiled, but instead a binary translator is used instead.] In effect it seems that the Xbox team is able to quickly produce streamlined ports of original Xbox 360 projects. It's a remarkable achievement, and perhaps also explains why so many simpler titles are in the initial batch of backward compatible titles.

This is really bad reporting from Gematsu. Agatsuma Entertainment did not develop the Umihara Kawase games. Studio Saizensen is the developer and owner of the Umihara Kawase IP.

Yeah, I'm not super worried about Umihara Kawase's future. It's obvious that Kiyoshi Sakai was the one with the rights since almost all the credit lies with the small team he got, but I get the impression that Code of Princess was owned by Agatsuma since they're also listed as a developer and those Guardian Heroes devs were just contracted so we'll never see a sequel to that.
Still, Agatsuma was cool because they were actually releasing their games directly in the west and cared about interacting with their fans, especially via Facebook where I spoke with them a couple times (the Japanese trophy list persisted on the servers for about a week after launch, one of the collectible trophy descriptions was a copy of the smaller one. They got things updated after my comments, it's nice to feel appreciated.)

Hear ye mortals for Falcom has finally graced us with news of Ys 8.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is the title. Lacrimosa means 'weeping' in Latin, so the Weeping of Dana? Huh. That's a whole lot of nothing. Oh well at least there's a news on the release date.
On the same note, Cold Steel 3 is in development. Geez, chill out with the Kiseki series, Falcom, I've only just started on Cold Steel 1 and who knows when Cold Steel 2 is coming.

Yeaaaahh! I figured the teaser site is about God Eater, but I didn't expect it's for both of them.
Probably getting it on PS4 because even though I think the game is best played in short burst/on mobile, I like the control better with a controller and TV.
Steam is also a great candidate because the possibility of mods, but if I can get a physical copy of something, I'd damn well get it.

Namco Bandai is on a roll with localizing Jojo: Eyes Of Heaven, and Gundam Extreme Vs Force alongside the previously mentioned God eater games. I'm not surprised about Jojo, but Gundam games outside of the dynasty warrior games is really unique.

It really is too bad about the new gundam game. At least I can still import full boost. I just hope this doesnt stop future gundam games from ever coming over.

Oh for the love of... right. iOS, Android, and Vita only, and Square Enix USA are a bunch of cowards when it comes to the Vita. So much for that.

Man, I got totally confused for a moment because there's like three franchises you like being turned into mobile games, and like two of them have additional titles coming for them afterward that might actually not be for mobile and/or suck, but I can't keep track of them.
This was just announced wasn't it? I got excited because I thought it was just a Vita game but now literally the dumbest thing happened.
