| There's also the nifty Symphonia/Phantasia world map thing. - Symphonia / Phantasia world map trick:
If you look at a picture of the world map of Dawn of the New World, wherein Sylvarant and Tethe'alla are reunited, and then go and look at the world map of Tales of Phantasia, the continents are in the exact same place. (Which seems weird after four thousand+ years, but hey. Video game logic.) It's the exact same world, just thousands and thousands of years later.

| That's interesting about Symphonia and Phantasia. What about the home world of Dhaos? What was the name of that? I forgot. | |

- Spoiler:
They actually messed up the DotNW map, what they labeled as Triet is where the Holy Ground of Kharlan should be and the Palmacosta continent is mislabeled as Katz village when it should connect with the Asgardian continent through the Hakonesia Peak; it's also the wrong shape compared to ToS, it shouldn't look like the ToP version yet. [spoilerbox="This is how the DotNW map should look like"] I'm not sure where the Katz continent should go, it disappeared from the ToP-era map (also notice how the world was split right in the middle) [/spoilerbox]

Oh wow, isn't that the final dungeon in Symphonia where you fight Mithos? Was Dhaos the same as Mithos? He did kind of look like him.

Oh wow, isn't that the final dungeon in Symphonia where you fight Mithos? Was Dhaos the same as Mithos? He did kind of look like him. [spoilerbox="ToS and ToP spoilers~"]Derris-Kharlan is a comet made of Mana which travels to Aselia every 100 years and used to be the home of the elves before they settled on Aselia. Mithos originally wanted to use it's Mana to revive the Giant Kharlan Tree but ended up trapping it in the planet's gravitational field too feed it's Mana to the Great Seed and keep Martel in suspended animation until he could bring her back. It was set free at the end of ToS and Kratos decided to stay to discard the Exshperes into space and take care of the reminding lifeless beings. It has been theorized that Dhaos is the descendant of those lifeless beings or Mithos' reincarnation and that his people evolved form them. There's a lot more to Derris-Kharlan than Welgaia, though, there's real continents so it might imply other lifeforms than the lifeless beings living in parallel with them during the Cruxis era.[/spoilerbox]

| Oh its not a spoiler to me though since I beat both games, thanks for that bit of information. Dhaos being a descendant of the lifeless beings or a reincarnation of Mithos sounds logical, especially the later since they practically look the same unless Mithos has a twin brother or something. But even their names are kind of the same at the end of them, with the os. Dha-os and Mith-os. | |

The names seem to be more of a Tethe'allan thing with Kratos, Mithos, Zelos, etc. It could be either a trend, first born son kinda thing or it just sounds more boyish to Tethe'allans or something. - Slivendiferious wrote:

| @Saeko, Yeah that makes sense. I totally forgot about the other characters with "os" in their name. They all seem to come from Tethe'alla so I guess its just a common thing over there to name boys with "os" in their name.
As for Dhaos being a reincarnation of Mithos, why is that not possible?

| Symphonia doesn't have a system of reincarnation to my knowledge (that would be Xillia). | |

| Oh ok then. Innocence had reincarnation as well iirc. Not really sure about the other Tales, I think Abyss doesn't have reincarnation since they have a Vatican kinda church setting in it with the Oracle Knights and stuff. The Vatican has a military too as we've seen throughout history with the Templar Knights and Crusaders. | |
