| No one comments on God Eater 2: Rage Burst? The Vita release was a given, but seeing it's also getting a PS4 release, it means more chances for a localization. Can't wait for more announcements like more Aragami, balance issues and other plot related things they need to add. | |

| I hope its a good port, though. I heard that Akiba's Trip is still at 720p30 and they didn't bother to rebalance the game for the increased amount of enemies. | |

| http://www.siliconera.com/2014/09/02/rise-mana-deadmans-cross-coming-playstation-vita/I fully expect Square Enix to NOT localize Rise of Mana because they're retarded and it'll be on Vita so Nintendo won't be able to fix their idiocy like they did with Bravely Default. Of course, if they keep it free-to-play, pay-out-the-ass-to-enjoy like it is on iOS, then I wouldn't WANT them to. ...Just give me Seiken Densetsu 5 already. On a CONSOLE. | |

| Yeah, the Rise of Mana director would like to make a new Mana game in the near future. So, maybe we'll see it in 2015-2016? Nobody really knows for sure. | |

| Usually DLCs already have the codes in the game so they just patch the game to enable them and/or add the files needed. Patching for online play is complicated because they need to add something that was not there and coding online play make huge changes in the code. Also money. | |

I'm sure it's still doable but it's really easy to release a press release with what you've just stated and sell a new game instead.

| We already have a Mario Kart 8 thread where that news was posted, and Arc System Works has almost nothing to do with that port of X2 #Reload, it's being published by some random third party much like BlazBlue Calamity Trigger and Guilty Gear Isuka were. I don't know if ASW's actually made a PC game themselves, and if they did, it would've been the GFWL port of CT which had very little press anyway. What's this about Kamiya? You left out the one source that would've been useful. - Seraph wrote:

Same goes for you, this thread isn't Taiyz's Amazing News Aggregator. =P Though, the following article is super relevant to my previous topic: http://www.siliconera.com/2014/09/05/players-taking-wait-see-approach-toukiden-extreme/Hunting games are drowning themselves. I hope the Freedom Wars devs take notice.

I do believe they themselves (or rather Sammy but it's one and the same afaic) did the original PC port of #Reload, so yeah. Although the Steam port is published by some other random company I've not heard of before. Also about before, for those who don't know what's up with the whole GamerGate shitstorm, I found this article (with this bit of info on what triggered the whole thing) to be the most fair and succinct account of the whole thing, although there have been a lot of developments on the situation since this article was written and thus is incomplete. Ironically, the most complete account of the whole thing I found was a series of comments made by a single user on a random, unrelated forum. Still, gaming journalism seems to be going down the drain fast and a lot of game devs (confirmed, but anonymous - notably someone who contributed to the development of the xbone), excluding the obvious indies included in the whole mess, seem to be on the side of gamers, though most prefer to stay silent for fear of having to deal with the deluge of hystericals who're against the whole "movement". Unsurprisingly Phil Fish is being a huge douche on twitter because of this, which is unsurprising since one of the team members for Fez is right in the middle of this, lol.

| That's why I said "almost nothing." They made it ages ago for Sammy, but this new release is just some random publisher putting it on Steam, likely with minor updates for trading cards and shit.
Good god. I'm tired of gamers using all these fucking *gate phrases. This is a direct spin-off of Zoegate, of course. Christ.
But yeah, games journalism is shit. I just removed Kotaku from my bookmarks today actually (though I haven't used the site in maybe a year?) I clicked on it by accident today and there was some shit about the cartoon Doug and a both of other irreverent bullshit. There was a shocking lack of actual news and their chosen subject.
Game journalists have always tried to claim impartiality by making fun of their own audience, the shitty commenters and such on their websites and/or YouTube videos, but they're just the other side of the same damn coin. Internet commenters are harsh, sure, but that's because they want you to deliver quality content. Ignoring their outcries and trying to censor them just proves that you aren't confident in the tripe you're spewing out.
I'm still proud to be a gamer. PEOPLE in general can be insensitive, and the most offensive ones stand out in a public form, i.e.: THE INTERNET. Gamers are crazy passionate specifically because of how intricate and varied the hobby is, and because we just don't get the recognition that more traditional media does, so a lot of gamers feel a need to talk louder. It's hard to truly label us, because there are so many different kinds of "us."
Personally I'm enjoying seeing people tear games journalism apart. Of course there are still some decent sites out there that focus on their actual job. The PlaystationTrophies and XboxAchievements network are great, and Siliconera is okay although they frequently misphrase stuff. I get all my "big" game news from community sources like Reddit.
Also, ah ah ah, Phil Fish, you aren't allowed to talk anymore because you just threw a bitch fit about a week ago and literally said that you have left the games industry.

| Phil Fish makes me really angry, but not for the reasons you'd think. Besides the big places like Ubisoft Montreal and Eidos Montreal which are both AAA studios, there aren't really any notable developers coming from where I live and him being the only other visible french canadian dev makes me super mad. | |
