So why aren't they serving the PS3 in this situation?

Probably because they want to get some japanese games on ps4 so there will be more people for Final Fantasy 15.

I'm talking about in general. A lot of games could look a lot better but they're limited by the fact that Japanese devs still want to serve the PS3 and/or Vita.
You mean are forced to.
Square Enix and Final Fantasy are the biggest names in Japan (FFXIII was the only day 1 million seller in Japan during the PS3's lifetime) and Square Enix wants Japan to move on to the PS4 like the west has. They're still supporting the Vita for other stuff though (besides the obvious remote play,) like that new SaGa game.
Pretty clear that a handful of devs like Square Enix and the much smaller Compile Heart want PS3 to die in Japan and for the PS4 to take its place. Very tough with the Japanese console market the way it is, but they're clearly going all in (and will probably be rewarded for it in the west.)

f*** me, this is what I get for going out of my way to buy Fairy Fencer F (literally, because more sales influence decisions like these.) At least the LE content is cool.
I like how they said "the demand for moe is quite high overseas." Hahahaha, get uguu'd America.
I don't know what the + denotes. Hopefully a bunch of new characters because there really aren't that many I actually want to play as right now. If we could get Nico Robin or Kazuki Muto, I'd be happy. For now, Hell Teacher Nube is the most interesting.

Dunno how to feel about Sen possibility. Especially since we will be skipping Zero and Azure/Ao.

There's a fan translation of PSP Ao being worked on at the moment. Ideally the Vita versions should be released out here, but its a licensing mess. There are multiple companies involved, and the voice acting is massive. I believe every line in each of those games is voiced. The cost for all the licensing would be too costly. Plus XSeed could not afford to dub the game.
One of the XSeed staff had this to say about it (from that GAF thread):
Quote :
Assuming we get to 3rd before we're dead, I'm pretty confident it'll see a PSP release. We wouldn't want to keep fans hanging who've been playing the series on their handheld devices this whole time.
As for Zero no Kiseki on Vita, I don't foresee that happening at all, unfortunately. The most obvious reason is, indeed, the voice-acting -- we almost certainly wouldn't be able to get the voice rights to it (we haven't been able to for any other Falcom title to date), and we DEFINITELY wouldn't be able to afford to dub it, so our only option would be to cut the voice-acting completely. And that's if we could even get the rights to the Vita game at all -- since remember, it's not a Falcom production, but a game developed by Pyramid and published by Kadokawa. So we'd need to negotiate terms and fees with three companies instead of just one.
As such, if we ever do get to Zero, I anticipate it being PC only or -- at best -- PC and PSP digital, like SC. If by some miracle we COULD get the Vita version, we'd be thrilled... but the odds are stacked very much against us on that.

If one of them is Oneechanbara Z2 Chaos, XSEED is the best company.

I really hope SC is a 2015 title.
But with what the Carpe Fulgur (?) translator is experiencing now, he/she can take all the time he needs to complete it.

One of them is Onechanbara Z: Kagura with NoNoNo (their exclamation point, not mine)! The other is Ys VI: Mark of Napishtim.
One more left. The yellow spots are just XSeed trying to confuse us.

Ugh, well it's a start, and I appreciate that we essentially aren't missing any of the games since VorteX (unless you count the PSP game which I knew would NEVER come here,) and it does confirm that I still need to buy a PS3.
If all of you don't buy Oneechanbara Z I don't know what I'll have to do, but I'll have to do something.

Is Lord of Magna a Rune Factory game? I remember hearing that the newest one has something to do with Magna. If so I'm happy that we're getting it in the west.

I haven't heard very good things about Lord of Magna. They say Rune Factory 4 is better.

Still, we're at a point where future Rune Factory-esque, as well as Bokujou Monogatari games will hinge on sales. Natsume's new not-Harvest Moon is apparently doing well. =/
