This is more of an anecdote than actual news, but Screencheat has a ton of anime references as kill messages. You can ORAORAORAORA someone, Kamehameha them, One Punch them, and one just goes SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE and on the victim's screen it says WWWWWWRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY (that last one could be Capture the Fun exclusive since I think it's the only one without player names.)
I've got it on PS4, and I recommend it. Here's an LP of some gameplay:

Nuh uh.
I care. Cause I main Calilica in MoC and she's a destructive powerhouse of a loli.
Hope Rikotta is as fun (and FAST) like Calilica.

late 4 days f*** it
sooooo the sao vr is just overglorified vr headset + leap motion
lookit that taped on leap motion lol. welp, that was underwhelming. and it doesn't even have omnidirectional treadmill (yet, maybe).
yeah thats not omnidirectional treadmill. i was fooled once during a tech convention when i thought "holy shit they're displaying vr+omnitreadmill here omgomgomg" but it turned out to be just a fucking platform and i was so sad and embarassed.
Anyway, I don't have good experience with Leap Motion device to be honest. They aren't really precise in my experience, and heck, if they're opting for depth motion sensor for this game, might as well use Kinect for full body detection instead of using a device that only detect hand gesture.
For a game touted as full VR "completely foreign of other game" experience, they're doing something indie game developer had already done last two years or so. Granted, theirs wasn't online, but oculus + leap motion is too basic mang.
EDIT: wait f***, I think the vr headset is just Rift DK2 taped on a helmet lol.

These developers aren't going to get me on board for VR if its just going to be lame motion game gimmicks again.

Play-Asia puts anti-DoAXers on blast after breaking sales records. (This is an April Fools joke but also semi-serious.)
I love it.

So Mega Man Legends 2 is on PSN now, go get it.
In case you haven't heard, there was a huge backlash regarding Blizzard removing a pose from Overwatch due to a disgruntled parent who didn't think their young daughter would be able to look at Tracer as a role model if Tracer had a nice ass, because it's oversexualized and doesn't fit her spunky and rambunctious character. Keep in mind that this is a universal pose that every character has.
They basically made her butt even tighter and this pose is based on some goddamn pin-up art. Brilliant troll Blizzard, absolutely brilliant, you had us worried there for a second.

Buttgate is kinda silly for an FPS game, especially for a character who wasn't that great in the Beta (anime mech girl was so OP). People seem to like the new pose better, so its a success?

Don't call it that.
Also character strength has no relevance to preference, especially for a role-based game that is in beta and patched frequently.
And the new pose IS better and doesn't actually censor anything (arguably it's sexier, again, pin-up art,) hence why people seem to like it because this change actually upset a larger group of people than the ones who presumably disliked the pose in the first place, I'm sure that one douchebag isn't even gonna play the game long enough for his impressionable daughter to give two shits about some British chick in spandex, so Blizzard's marketing team caused a bunch of trouble over nothing, and I can't wait until one asshole complains again and causes more dumb Kotaku-baiting controversy.

Aaaah I really hope this is going to be localized because it's just too funny. The premise also sounds great, a combination of VN and RPG. But really, parodying (over?)usage of flashback is what gets me the most; it's actually brilliant to make a game starting at final boss and we go back in time with flashback for storytelling purpose. This definitely has ZHP vibe.
NIS makes really good parody game tbh. Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?, Z.H.P: Unlosing Ranger vs Darkdeath Evilman, and ClaDun, they all are based off parodying popular culture but still have solid gameplay that can stand on itheir own. Of course, they're funnier because they are parody.
This is what I find lacking in most indie parody though. They are just parody, some nostalgia appealing 8/16-bit game that makes fun of tropes but doesn't provide much depth to its gameplay.

Undertale was never advertised in that way.

Doesn't matter what it was advertised as, it is just like other indie games. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just normal.

This is what Undertale is. The basic premise is, what if killing enemies actually mattered for once, and what would be the consequences vs. peacefully talking enemies down. Then you mix that with a basic shoot-'em-up system for avoiding damage with some clever modifications during boss fights, so it's not just some kinda 8-bit turn-based visual novel.
Parody would imply that its imitating 8-bit style games for comedic effect, when this was a stylistic choice based on the developer's experience with Earthbound rom hacks. Toriel is a parody of tutorial characters, but that's about it.

You're the one not making any sense. The art style is not the parody, it blows my mind that you latched onto that of all things, you're right in that it's a stylistic choice, one that APPEALS TO NOSTALGIA. The fact that the game is full of goofy flip-tropes-on-their-head comedy makes it a parody. You're also forgetting all the references to current pop culture trends, not necessarily meme-dropping, but Alphis or whatever their name was is fucking full of "notice me senpai" garbage.
You really shouldn't talk games you've never played as if you've played them. It takes not even 5 minutes of browsing Undertale's Wikipedia entry to get articles like this and this featuring discussions with the developer on the design philosophy of the game.

I've watched a full LP of the game, and this is not a game that needs to be physically played to be understood.
The articles you've posted do nothing to disprove what I've stated, in fact they practically agree with what I've said already by stating the various games that inspired him.
Code of Princess is out on Steam today, its clearly the 3DS game in a emulator, but it runs at 60 fps so the game will actually be playable. Online play is in as well. Devs are looking into getting the English dub added in. Apparently its a good dub?
